| You're making the claim that your script never breaks, without using pcall or ypcall? That's a big assumption. It looks like you did check for many edge cases, but not all of them. What happens if MarketplaceService:PlayerOwnsAsset throws an error because the request failed? (It does happen). |

MY EYES!
Also, why, for sake of efficiency, no one wants to use string patterns?! |

| What's the point of advertising here, anyway. Anyone here should in theory be able to make their own quite easily. |

Your assuming i think like all you. Your assuming that they will think like you do, however my thought process was not to care if anyone wants or needs it- but should someone actually need it, or want to see fresh material to look at, they could look at mine.
If not thats fine, however if they wanted to make an admin they would and me advertising here would not be relevant to that either way. |

| If it was something cool or unique, sure it would be a valid post. But you're just advertising your version of something everyone has at some point made. It contributes nothing to the forum. |

It's kind of fishy that you used string patterns only to get words, yet further on you decided to go with substrings:
string.sub(v,1,string.len(CommentKey))~=CommentKey
while it's much nicer as:
v:match("^"..CommentKey.."$") == nil |

| Also yes, it's rather counter productive to post such things here, because people that would be interested in such things as admin commands, don't forum in this subforum. This forum is dedicated to advanced scripting. |

@zars15 Im not the best at string patterns, i just took what i knew and used it.
@Above-zars, It does contribute to this form for the reason i have listed in my reply to your otherwise ignorant post. You posting like this is actually not contributing to the forum, your just ranting because you personally have a problem with it. This is meant to give scripter's something to look at and use. If its not useful to you the that's fine, but keep it to yourself.

| It isn't advanced scripting, and as such doesn't belong on this forum. And what's so unique about it that anyone would want to actually look at it? |

I am sorry that this attitude has uppset you, but you have to understand that this is what the core community of this subforum is like. I've forumed here for years and I know what these people are interested in.
No regular poster from this subforum will care for a random script. They'd either learn stuff themselves, or ask help on tricky problems themselves. |
