---Everywhere I see, is games to play, not to experience. "Why is this?" you may ask, well have you ever got a feeling from a video game, got its plot without looking on wikipedia, or a sense of understanding in a game? Now a days game developers don't pour their experiences into the games for us to experience the same way the game developer. A pure role-model to this is the Mother/Earthbound series, Shigesato Itoi took his time making the three games in the series, pouring his experiences in tho the game himself making people feel as you were him. Thought I have been born in a time where this almost doesn't exists, I feel like I have been born earlier.
---Now a days you have COD and simple remakes of Super Mario Bros, flying off the shelves like hot cakes only to find out there it just a really simple plot that doesn't give any experiences. For example, Super Mario Bros is basically Mario saves the princess after 8 levels. Now don't get me wrong, I like Mario and shooters, It's just they give no expression of the game developer. All I see on roblox is like Super Mario's plot, super simple, for example; Player crosses obby to get to winners, One murderer gets killed by sheriff to protect the remaining innocents.
---I realized this about an hour into playing Earthbound, this has a lot of things to "feel", not play. Have you ever had a game that you "felt"? Even though games do have some plots that are massive, most you can't "feel" it. Boy, do I miss the times when this was happening with the games having thought into them.
Games need to be able to be "felt". |

Portal brought in a lot of feels.
But yeah, I see what you mean. Most games are just the same thing, over and over. |
