I used PCPartPicker to choose the parts.
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor ($84.73 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A55M-HD2 Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard ($44.99 @ Micro Center) Memory: Crucial 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($69.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.44 @ Amazon) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB FTW ACX Video Card ($159.99 @ Newegg) Case: Rosewill Blackbone ATX Mid Tower Case ($31.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($24.99 @ Newegg) Wireless Network Adapter: Asus PCE-N10 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter ($13.99 @ Newegg) Total: $485.11
I chose the GPU because of good reviews and the power cord allows flexibility for OCing. I chose a moderate CPU because I play games that don't need much CPU power, and It's quad core and overclocking head room, what more could you ask for? All the rest, eh, it'll work. |

Seems good to me.
If you need a REALLY budget computer, I can fix you up with a $150-$200 one on Part Picker.

I accept this challenge. $250 in most outer regions. $210 where I am.
