So as you might have heard, we're working on another base whilst Space Combat is in the midst of completion. We're currently trying to debate a few possible systems/functions for the base and here are some things I had in mind, your feedback is heavily appreciated. Although this thread is intended for Velorum loyalists, anyone a part of the Clans & Guilds Foruming Community can feel free to contribute/add feedback.
* Each side will have fifteen reinforcements available at their disposal, once someone in the server leaves, the next person to join the same team will count as one reinforcement. If for instance, the Velorum team reaches zero reinforcements, no other Velorum members will be able to join the server. The amount of reinforcements available to each team could be changed during a war or something, if agreed upon by both factions.
* There is a communications array thingy in the command and control center of the base, it will allow the holding team of the terminal to access the radio (the radio will be a GUI). The team that does not have the terminal will still be able to see the radio GUI however they won't be able to use it, it'll just say "[Signal Weak]" or something along those lines. If the terminal of the base is controlled by the raiders, the radio signal disappears for the defenders and the raiders obtain full control over it.
* In order to win at this base, the raiders will have to pick up a microchip at their spawn, take it to the command and control center of the base, upload the data from the mainframe (this process will take fifteen minutes), secure the mainframe throughout this duration, and afterwards when the upload is complete make their way up to the roof and towards their escape-gunship. Once the holder of the microchip reaches the gunship a win code will be posted.
* If the microchip is dropped at any time by the raiders, it must be picked up by the raiders within thirty seconds otherwise it respawns back in the raiders spawn. Defenders will not be able to pick up the microchip.
* 30 Player Servers.
* 5 Velorum members & 5 raiders required to make the server official.
* In order to encourage members to patrol the base while there is no hostile activity, we'll have games available such as solitaire, chess, checkers, etc where you can challenge other people.
* In-game titles that can be equipped and hidden via settings.
* Low health in combat, shields would make up for this and take up 90% of your health. Wouldn't really change combat however would make for more realism. Shields will regenerate however your health will not. So basically, to clarify; 90 of your health would be considered "shields" and would show up blue on the health bar while the other 10 would be considered as your "health" and show up green/red.
So yeah, what do you guys think? |

| Interesting system, not much to add. Everything seems solid, and I really like the shield idea. Also, remember the whole "credits" system? If we haven't already dropped the credits system, members can gain about 2 credits every 30 minutes they are patrolling the base. |

@Visarin, implying I was one of the first 20 people, I do.
However, Velorum never officially 'opened'. It's in development - according to the knowledge I have. |

It sounds a lot like what I'd see from Killzone.
Great job.
But, there should be a way for defenders to win. |
