For years, HopperBins were the lifeline of all ROBLOX Tools. And now, every single hopperbin to exist is BROKEN.
What is a HopperBin? ________________ A HopperBin is a simple Tool that does not have a part in it, but rather a script. They are very efficient at making tools, and have widespread use all over ROBLOX Games.
Examples of HopperBins: ____________________
*The classic Delete Tool *The classic Drag Tool *Potentially, other standard, non-stamper build tools *The original version of Work At a Pizza Place's "Job" tool (Just as a popular example.) *Almost all GUI-Oriented tools
Why does it matter? _________________
As a game creator, I use hopperbins a lot. I had an experimental map where users could speedbuild using hopperbins that generate parts.
HopperBins no longer function at ALL, and this is a major problem that has broken countless games, including one of mine. Fixing HopperBins will fix myriad games.
It may be updates to the Mouse Icon that have to do with hopperbins, because it's not just an icon - this mouse works differently, and does not support HopperBins. I'd like this mouse to be updated to do so.
Please support to help game creators become aware! |

Back when they were functioning, before updates to the mouse, Hopperbins were flawless. I used them, and almost any tool scripter used them, too.

Exploiters can copy games from that.

| They removed it because they were easily exploitable.Any exploiter can turn a hopperbin into anything they wanted. |

Perhaps once, they could be exploited. But, if you can turn a hopperbin into anything you want, can't you turn ANY script into anything you want? Think about that.
Last I checked, Cheat Engine's Script Editer was patched.
And no, ROBLOX did NOT remove HopperBins. They still exist. |

I support this. I personally haven't done a lot with hopperbins, but I do recognize how important they are.

| I think that instead of assuming that it is an update issue, we should figure out exactly why so many hopperbins broke, otherwise we have no reason to believe that it is an update besides a bunch of stuff breaking that used to work. That is not enough evidence. What specifically made hopperbins break, that's what I want to know. |

| Support, everything broke when that update was released, and now everyone had to change their scripts. |

| Well, I got around this by making it key based not click based. |

Superswordfish, all I can try to do for now is raise awareness of the breaking of hopperbins.
MrBoss, I'd be interested to know how you did that, considering hopperbins are a kind of tool. Although, unfortunately, most hopperbins remain broken.

If we were wrong, why is there still no hopperbins?

| Replace scripts in HopperBins with local ones. |

| So what broke is that regular scripts don't run in Hopperbins, meaning Hopperbins are local now? Sounds good long-term if so :P. |

"If we were wrong, why is there still no hopperbins?"
HopperBins exist. They just don't seem to work.
"Replace scripts in HopperBins with local ones."
I will experiment with this and get back to you after I test it.

After I confirm this for myself, I'll get back to replying to you.

| They were never broken in the first place per se, but rather exhibiting incorrect behaviour - running server-side scripts client-side, allowing exploiters to manipulate them. There is a note on the Wiki regarding this, and numerous threads about this already. |

@Data, Ah.
At the moment, when I try a hopperbin tool, they do absolutely nothing.

Apparently, they do function again after being transfered to a Local script, oddly enough.
I still wonder why they stopped functioning when being in a script, thus breaking the tool.
"Believe it or not, exploited Hopperbins does more harm then scripts."
Please elaborate as to how it's more then harming a script when a hopperbin is the topic, this is very vague, and you've got my interest.
