When I attempt to connect to a game, I press play, as you do, and the loading window pops up telling me roblox is updating, this changes to the normal messages after 30 seconds or so. However roblox does not launch, and the loading screen does not go away. I've tried launching from all the mainstream browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, IE, Safari) and also from studio (Which only lets me edit my games, not join any) I'm running a Fairly high spec HP Laptop from 2012, the OS I'm using being Windows 8.1. I've tried everything such as unistalling, re-installing, cleaning temporary internet files and so on suggested to me in the overly generic E-Mails I got from info@roblox.com , so all I have left is you guys. Any of you know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance. |

I found the best way to fix this was to uninstall, and download ROBLOX through Internet Explorer. Why Internet Explorer? Because it is the most supported browser by ROBLOX, so it has the most compatible updates.
You can of course play from your regular browser at a later point - just download and launch it the first time from IE.
Personally, I had to reformat my disk to get ROBLOX to work again, but that was after a looooong period of not being able to play. I don't believe you're at the same point, so I suggest trying out the solution above. |
