SKS is a good plinker, but to be honest its not as versatile as the kalash.
And I'm pretty sure ammo for it is more expensive. |

| I play a lot of BF4 and COD:G, and I can tell you that the best weapon is the bolt action sniper because you can 360 noscope |

They use the same ammo
7.62x39
And it's 9 cents ($0.09 USD) a round
That's why I chose them over the ARs and other rifles that use the 5.56x45/.223, because the 5.56x45/.223 rounds are more expensive |

Real steel.
I want a steel and wood SKS or Kalashnikov if I were to get one, since it could be used as a club/bat besides a gun. |

I want a Russian SKS, because the furniture, as I've heard, is a heck of a lot smoother than the Chinese SKS rifles. Problem is, the Russian SKS rifles aren't as common and aren't as cheap as the Chinese ones.
So it would probably be a Chinese SKS if I were to get one. |

If I was to get the Kalashnikov, it would most likely be an AKM, since they are basically more common, even though they are still called "Ak47"s.
I can't get a real Russian one, because the US banned them importation of foreign made guns (You can get them re-made in the US, but American parts are added) in the late '80s to mid '90s, and the pre-ban ones are extremely rare and expensive.
I would like a European one, perhaps something like an M70. Then again, the expenses.
But I would probably get an Arsenal SLR, which is basically an all-American made AK-47, if I were to get a Kalashnikov rifle. They usually don't go over $600-$700. |

I saw a gun channel on YouTube (Not FPSRussia) talk about it, and the video was posted relatively recently. Even if they aren't, they are still cheaper than 5.56x45/.223 |

For me one of the biggest iconic portions of the sks would be its folding bayonette.
And if using the rifle for close combat, (in the instance of using it as a club) why not use it's bayonette? |

If I was in CQC, I would use the weapon as a club to knock people out and use to break windows and such.
I like wood and steel over polymer and plastic |
