In the next 5,000 years historians will consider the United States to be one of the greatest civilizations, like ancient Rome and Greece

In the future 5000 years the US will cease to exist. If humanity still exists up to that point, I don't doubt the fact that US will be seen as corrupt capitalist empire that wanted to "police" the world when no one asked it to.

it will probably be remembered as the nation that changed how humanity operated
it introduced effective capitalism, democracy, and spread those things. it also influenced globalization through economic power and created the UN for world peace and humanitarian missions
imo the US has had the single greatest impact on humanity of any country ever |

It'll just be the name they used to call this spot of the world. We will be in the history books adding and taking out information, and with only technology to change, but not the heart of humanity.

in 5,000 years I bet that all of the countries in the UN would merge into one global nation and we would travel via spaceships with wormhole technology.

i bet we might end up as one 'united earth' with only small inside conflicts. cause based on where we are now, in the next 5000 years we will have probably found some kind of civilization....
