I play my computer connected to a television monitor, one of the inputs is ANTENNA/CABLE, it's on Nickelodeon.
I'm on my computer input, (HDMI1) and I am hearing ads CONSTANTLY playing through my monitor's speakers, I can't tell where it's coming from, there's no internet windows open, I've tried restarting my computer, I've tried editing the sound settings on my computer, and turning it down prevents me from playing Youtube videos.
Please help... I feel hopeless and it's so annoying. They sound like TV commercials and it's creeping me out.
C'mon everyone, let's take a ride in my balloon / casino! |

Go to the Volume Mixer, you can get to it through the Task Bar. Try muting System Sounds.
If that doesn't work, go to the Task Manager. You can get to that through ALT + CTRL + DELETE or the Task Bar as well. Check Processes, DON'T end any processes you don't know about. |

Maybe you have an adware installed on your pc? I prefer that you'd install and run an adware cleaner tool first. My neighbour had ads turning on whole screen and I guess it was more annoying than only sound. He couldn't see anything because of stupid commercials showing up on the screen...
And well, ahve you tried putting out antenna/cable out? If it doesn't shows up, then somehow tv plays at the same time as pc. |

i've tried everything i know to solve these kinds of things, there's no specific sound output control for the cable.

You said you're using HDMI cable. Well actually HDMI is able to transport video and audio. You can try using D-Sub or either DVI. I guess you can. You may loose High Definition video and audio, but at least you won't have to listen to those annoying sounds. |

Yeah, I said it before that it could be an adware. Adware is actually a malware trhat plays ads on pc. And malware is some kidn of unwanted software as viruses :P |
