People are really annoyed about the Egg Hunt. Especially people who have bought the gear merchandise.. I spent over 1500 ROBUX on those items!
I live in the UK, and whenever I go on ROBLOX, the hunt is closed! Even if you open it today, I'll have only a few days before it closes at the end of Easter!
That's really upsetting, especially since I bought the ROBUX to use on the items.
Since the gear only works in the egg hunt, I'll be sueing ROBLOX if I do not get sufficient time to use my gear in-game. As per UK consumer law, items purchased must be fit for purpose. Your gear isn't, so I will be wanting a refund on the ROBUX I bought. |

We are annoyed about it too. Part of the problem with all of our events is we can test it all we want but our small team doesn't put as much stress on the system as the thousands of eager egg hunters. So we often do a lot of testing and sometimes things STILL break. Its frustrating for everyone involved.
As for the UK consumer law, that only applies to (as I understand it) purchase made with real money, and not in game money that is spent. Sure you might be able to make a case that you bought ROBUX with IRL money but you had plenty of options to spend them on any of which might have broken for one reason or another. This aside, the devs are working on the egg hunt and it *will* and you will have time to play it. |

| It might not go out on Easter also, I have a problem with this too, I support this, I found 3 eggs with the gear I bought for 600 robux (6 real life dollars) and when I went out of the game I did not get the eggs, this year's Egg Hunt blows. |

Thanks for your response. Indeed, the case I could make is that I spent the real money on ROBUX with which I bought the gear.
As I comprehend, I am still purchasing the gear with real money, just going through another insigificant token currency (ROBUX). As such, ROBLOX holds a moral and legal obligation to uphold the provision of the functioning goods. While it is made clear that the gear will only function in the egg hunt, we only agreed because we were told there WOULD be an egg hunt. |

I'm not even saying that it won't happen--it definitely will and you will be able to use the gear you purchased in due time. However, I wanted to make it clear that you purchased ROBUX knowing that you had options on what to spend them on. You chose to purchase an item that you knew was going to be attached to an event--so logically it follows that if that event breaks, so would your purchased items. Its not as if everything will always work on ROBLOX but the quality of our items shouldn't be in question. Your issue in reality is with the egg hunt which you didn't spend any money on.
Still, just be patient. You will be able to use your items. If you can, you can try to receive a refund by emailing info@roblox.com (though I really doubt that you would receive one). |
