Well,if any of you are avid vans of Metal Gear Solid, you should know that Metal Gear Solid V:The Phantom Pain will be the final installment of the Metal Gear Solid franchise and Metal Gear in general. After roughly 16 years,Hideo Kojima and his production team at Konami have created a successful franchise that will forever live on in the hearts of fans, and the disc trays of our consoles.
Metal Gear Solid V takes place somewhere in the 1980s,where Solid Snake (Or Big Boss) has a prosthetic arm,is pretty old,and just a legend among soldiers as a super spy who saved the world countless times from Metal Gear.As far as I know, you can travel across a large amount of land in what appears to be Afghanistan, where child soldiers are present,as well as Cubans (and maybe even some Russians?).This will be the first and only installment that has open-world gameplay.
I think that the series should end here, while it can.Kojima still has that bug in his system, and this game can finally flush it out with this game.It shouldn't end up like Call of Duty,a game that has been long since overdue for it's departure.
Overall,I can't wait until The Phantom Pain comes out,and I really want to review it,too. |

It's the last game chronologically (Story-wise),but generally,I'm talking about MGS V being the end to the franchise.
And yeah,I know MGS 4 was supposed to be the last game, but Hideo Kojima loves Metal Gear too much :3 |

| They also said MGS4 was gonna be the last one. Call me racist, but whenever a japanese developer say a game is the last game in the series, i dont believe them. (AHEM FINAL FANTASY) |

*Uberhaxornova makes a video* Wolf: I understand your attempts at humor. I just don't find them entertaining.
This relates to Metal Gear, so pretty much on topic. |

I agree.
Kojima should make something different as well. |

| I've always found the lack of a full tutorial to be a little bit of a shame. I still don't get the controls. And I find the storyline to be a little hard to follow. |

Don't worry, getting used to the controls is actually the most difficult learning curve of the game, but once you get past it,the game will be fairly easy.
The storyline is quite complicated, since the first games were actually the last games chronologically. But,just know that Metal Gear Solid 3,Peace Walkers,Ground Zeroes, and The Phantom Pain are actually one of the first chronologically.
Anyways,if you buy The Phantom Pain,I'm sure you will like it.
(MGS V ALSO HAS THE ONLINE COMPONENT!!!) |

It's the last game chronologically
Its not.
The last game, chronologically, was MGSRR.
Phantom Pain is second to the first, MGS3.
