(Please read all before joining. Yes, I know it's long.)

[WELCOME TO THE WASTES, SURVIVOR]

It's been only two months after the infection spread. Sometimes it feels like longer. Sometimes we forget that there might be someplace out there that's still sane. Of course, the Dead help us forget that. Yes, I mean zombies, but that word is so... Offensive. Those aren't just the lumbering beasts that we usually see them as. They used to be friends, family... Sometimes we forget that, too.

I should cut to the chase, we don't have much time.

There are survivors out there. Not all of them are friendly. You need to pick who you trust, if you want to survive out here. Right, you don't know where you are, or what you're up against, either. I'll fill you in.

[♣THE WASTES♣]- This used to be our city. We don't call it what it used to be called. Now the Dead are all over the place, and there's only some of us left. This city has all sorts of things you can use to survive. There's supermarkets, malls, a couple hospitals, and most importantly; gunstores. Or, if guns aren't your thing, I'm sure there's plenty of chainsaws around. Whatever keeps you from getting mauled, alright? We need all the survivors we can get if we're gonna take this city back.

[๑THE DEAD๑]- These are your "zombies." Everyone who wasn't immune to the infection became one of these buggers. They were pretty dumb and slow at first, but they're getting smarter, more organized. And they're mutating. We've got them cataloged into a few types:
[ROTTERS]- Just a normal Dead. Slow, stupid, and easy targets. These things are attracted to light and sound, and will come running at loud noises. So try and stay under the radar. These things are almost human, minus the graying, rotten skin and occasional missing limb.
[SWARMERS]- These things are the hornets of the Dead world. They're organized, but not very smart. They travel in huge "swarms," and if one is disturbed, the rest will rush at the attacker. Once saw a deer get torn to shreds by these things within a few seconds. Awful. These things are extremely skinny, usually only skin and bones, with no hair on their body, and sharp claws and teeth.
[SHRIEKERS]- Remember when I told you that Rotters hate loud noises? Here's one! This thing will hunt down survivors, then make a huge racket once it finds one to attract Rotters. Shoot or bludgeon these things before they get reinforcements! These Dead have glowing green eyes, but otherwise look like Rotters.
[SHREDDERS]- These Dead are largely independent and territorial, and usually claim entire buildings to themselves. They have incredibly long, sharp claws, and use them to tear anything (and I mean ANYTHING) it sees to bits. They appear to be human (minus the claws), and can use that illusion to lure in prey.
[ALPHAS]- The leaders of the pack. These things have mutated to gain incredible strength and speed. Alphas can easily overtake a survivor alone, but Alphas live up to their name, and lead groups of Rotters or Swarmers along with them at all times. They appear to be large Rotters with an accelerated case of the disease. Their skin is usually peeling off in several places, and they have glowing red eyes.

So. That's what you're up against. If you still think you can get through this alive alone, that's great. I'll send someone to pick up your corpse. But, if you do want to get through this, get a team, get some weapons, and start re-killing the Dead.

[RULES]
1. No Overpowered Characters. One of the main points here is to find a team, and work with them to survive.
2. You can only RP as a survivor. You're completely immune to the infection, so don't worry about that.
3. NO ODING! However, minor forum romance is acceptable.
4. No having living relatives unless you have another person RPing as brother, sister, etc.
5. PLEASE don't RP as multiple people at one time. It gets very confusing.
6. Listen to me or any admins I assign. We're only trying to help.
7. Large-scale Dead attacks will be coordinated by myself and the admins. Be Prepared.

[CHARACTER SHEET]:

Name: Barrett Iniko

Age: 16

Appearance: Barrett is about 6'2, with pale skin and short black hair. He has brown eyes, and several small scars on his face. He usually wears a gray or black hoodie, jeans, and black sneakers. He's usually covered in oil, grease, or bloodstains from his work.

Personality: Barrett likes to think of himself as the quiet nobody that everyone hates, but he's actually quite loud and friendly. He'll often try to tell a (bad) joke to lighten the mood, and he likes to be heard.

Skills: Barrett learned how to build things quite quickly, and now knows quite a bit about repairing cars and fortifying bases. He also customizes weapons for himself and survivors he meets.

Bio (Optional): Barrett was oftentimes alone in his own atmosphere, and usually ignored any kindness that was shown to him. He had run away from home several times before the infection broke out. He now travels around the city, helping any survivors he finds to survive.

Other (Fears, weapon of choice, etc.): Barrett wears a tool belt that has several tools for repairs, or beating Dead down, but is also capable with pistols and shotguns.

Name: Ian doesn't take off his bandana while he's speaking to him. "I'm Ian. My friends, Loren and Colby, call me Frost. It's like a callsign, I guess. Not like we have radios.."

Age: 28

Appearance: Ian is of an average height, at about 5'11". He is of a Caucasian heritage and has black hair and brown eyes. He wears a black bandana with the lower half of a skull imprinted on it, along with a pair of black glasses on his eyes (where else would they go) and a black, fairly dirtied trucker cap. He is currently wearing jeans with several bands around the legs to hold magazines, which he has none of at the time, and a pair of knives.

Personality: TBR

Skills: "I'd like to say that I'm pretty good with shooting, but I dunno. I like using knives, but again, I think I'm just pretty average. I usually get the drop on my friends when I decide to sneak up on them, so I'd say I'm pretty stealthy."

Weakness: "I get mad really quick. I think I stabbed a guy once because he was that annoying. Lack of good judgement is the main thing, I'd say."

Bio: N/A

Other: "I prefer to use ARs like the M4 or AK74m, though I'd like to say I'm not bad with snipers like the Mark 12. I also work in a team, kinda Spec Ops like, I guess, with my friends, Redspy and Patriot." Ian notices the look of confusion on his face. "The callsigns for Loren and Colby. Sorry I didn't make that clear enough."

Eh, a teenage team leader? Sorry, but... that makes people lose respect points from me. I can't stand the "teen renegade" trope, whatever variations it may come in.

RP is pretty good overall though, but not really all that different from any other zombie roleplay.

(I never said Barrett was a leader. What I'm trying to do in this RP is to get the RPers to work in a team to survive. Barrett is currently alone. Just because I created the RP doesn't mean my character is the main one. And yes, I know it's a lot like other zombie RPs. That's why I'm creating my own random events system. In other words, I roll dice to see what happens to you. I HAVE THE MAXIMUM CONTROL POSSIBLE THROUGH MY LUCKY DICE! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!)

Personality: Brave, honest, and intelligent. Will have to get to know you before he can give his trust.

Skills: Can easily pick locks. Good with a knife. And is speedy. But is pretty weak.
Bio: 1 week after the infection spread he was living in a rural town by the city. When he woke up he looked out the window and saw hordes of undead. Frightened he ran to the woods and was living there ever since

Other: Claustrophobic. Weapon of choice would be a 9mm.

I wipe sweat off of my brow for a moment, then return to work on the large black truck I'm working on. "C'mon, you bugger, not gonna get anywhere through the Wastes in this condition..." I try to start the ignition, only yielding a black puff of smoke, and the loud roar of an unstarting engine. I hear the sounds of groaning nearby, and sigh. "Another day, another batch of undead out to kill me." I grab a length of pipe, and open the garage door. "Here we go."

Like Slack, I might as well put in Weaknesses.

Name: Joseph Allen

Age: 29

Appearance: Joseph is pale, though not really pale, has has clean dark brown hair, a average build, weighs 190 pounds, stands at 5'9, blue eyes, no mustache and beard growing as of yet, and a short nose. As for clothing, he wears a Black shirt, Black pants, Black shoes, Black gloves, Khaki Knee pads, Khaki Bulletproof vest(Despite that not going to do well against a Zombie),Khaki helmet with goggles on it, and a Empty Pistol Hostler on the Bulletproof Vests chest area(If ya know what I mean).

Personality:Calm, Serious, and hates the Undead. Really, that's all to describe his personality.

Past-proffesion: Soldier of the country this city is in.

Skills: Joseph is well with Ranged weapons, and Okay at melee.

Weaknesses: he is not that great with Flying, and is Impatient most of the time.

Bio (Optional): Will be explained in the RP.

Other (Fears, weapon of choice, etc.):He would prefer a M4, of all guns, but would use any weapon if he finds it, or switches it if he finds it better than the one he has, and he has a fear of Bees.

"Ugh." I say, looking outside.

The house, or, well, hideout, I should say, is 2 stories high, it is in the Suburbs, so close to the city, though, I can see the Skyscrapers not very far from here. The windows are boarded up, so is the back door, the Front door isn't, but it is locked right now. I am running out of supplies, only four pounds of food an water in the basement, where I keep them. I am looking out of a crack in the wooden boards for the window. All I have as a weapon now is a Throwing hatchet, bloodstained from Bandits and the Undead. So, I made my final decision now, I need to go look for supplies. I sigh, and walk downstairs, as I was on the 2nd floor of the House. I unlock the door, and open it.

(( I also have a Giant bag of ideas for infected types here, Here they are.

Shambler: Weak,basic zombie that walks towards you very slowly. Threat Level: Very Low.

Warrior: Shamblers that have picked up a weapon and are not afraid to use it in combat. (Meele weapons most of the time but on occasions, use guns with bad accuracy) Threat Level: Very Low-Low.

Sprinter: Fast zombies with fragile frames, you can notice them by their almost skeletal appearance. Threat Level: Moderate.

Leaper: Strange Mutants with their legs ripped off...they have scythe-like arms and jump onto you and then rip you open. Threat Level: High.

Belcher: These fat zombies will belch acid containing the zombie virus They cannot however, spit over long distances, turn and walk fast and rest a bit before spitting again. Threat Level: Low.

Spiker: Small infected with sharp spines that will, on sight turn, into a ball and try to run you over. Sometimes opens up out of ball and leaps onto face- attempting to rip it off. Threat Level: Moderate.

Chopper: Muscular zombies with machetes sticking our of their arms, they also have no head, so headshots are unavilable. Threat Level: High.

Behemoth: A gigantic mass of rotting flesh, usually picks up a chunk of earth and uses as a club. Sometimes even throws it at people. Can sometimes charge at people knocking them down for a short period of time. Threat Level: Very High.

Crawler: Legless zombie whom crawls on the floor. Threat: Extremely low, just watch your feet.

Dogs
Local dogs have become infected, making them fast and deadly, as well as not easy to kill.
Threat Level: High

Stalkers
Also known as Lurkers, they prefer hiding in very dark places to fit with their dark grey skin. When hiding, they are only just discernible as a slight rippling in the shadows. Stalkers have a routine pattern of following survivors until their defence is lowered, then savaging them to death with their claws. Stalkers are most commonly found in dark, small areas like buildings.
Threat Level: High - Very high

Necro-Fiend: Skeletal-like zombies that lurk in shadows and burn in the daylight. They have large claws dripping with a strange liquid. Heavily mutates dead zombies *And dead or alive humans* into a fragile zombie of it's former self. Threat Level: Moderate.

Seekers: They only come out of night but a oppose a great threat. They only have on spiked hand and one normal hand. They go for the weakest, tired, slowest, and most important survivor so keep close together. They will usually make a strange noise either its a strange screech with a high pitch tone or a Heavy screech and a heavy tone with it. They come out of night to seek out remaining survivors and they are fast but they are really weak from firearms and fire. Threat Level: Intermediate

The Silent Ones: They make no noise and leave only a little evidence behind. They are usually found in the woods or small towns. They prefer to stay in the dark. They have spikes growing from they're backs and have black liquid covering half of they're body. They have scythe hands and are very fast. They are mostly hard to kill because of the hard dead skin they have. They are weak from blunt weapons and mostly sharp weapons you can't kill it with firearms. They leave no one alive if a group of survivors seen it. Threat Level: Hard

Bloaters: Kind of like a weaker version of the Belchers combined but are a heck of a problem. They spit out some kind of liquid that makes you kind of dizzy and lose some stamina. Bloaters are very weak but explode after killed they are also fast at walking. They make a gurgling sound and they are also known as "The Barricade Busters" Because sometimes they will sacrfice themselves to blow up barricades. Bloaters are found everywhere. Threat Level: Intermediate

Feral: Feral zombies are fast and smarter than shamblers. They have rotting flesh and show a little bit of they're skeleton form. They could dodge bullets and mostly are hard to kill. They are either found in the plains, large cities, or in hordes. Feral zombies are strong and can rip a survivor apart with a single bite. Threat Level: High

Maulers: They are large zombies with club hands. They usually are seen in a bunker filled with zombies or a horde with up to 50-90 zombies in it. They usually rage after losing alot of blood which makes them grow even stronger and they're eyes will turn red.Threat Level: Extremely High

Screamers: They have a pshyco vest on and are very fast. They will scream over miles and zombies will come for they're aid. Sometimes they will kick you or headbutt you. They are very easy to kill without it screaming. Screamers are found in asylums, Hospitals, and citiesThreat Level: Easy or Intermediate

Orges: Orge zombies are tall, fast, and strong zombies. They usually will run through zombies making them fly out of its way. Orge zombies are tough to kill but can be killed by having all survivors shooting at it. Orge zombies can make survivors fear it if it is seen. Orge zombies are found in large cities and large towns. Threat Level: EXTRA EXTREMELY HARD

Therons: Theron zombies are very smart, very fast, and very deadly. They have sharp scythe hands and clawed feet. They make hissing noises if a survivor is close by. They can see through stuff if a survivor is close by. They are half armored zombies which make them almost as hard as Orges. They are grey zombies with very sharped teeth. They can rip a survivor apart if the survivor is by itself. Therons regain blood if a zombie or human is killed by ripping it apart this will be eventually happening everytime.. Threat Level: High

White Glands: White gland zombies are zombies who contain the White Gland Virus. Either the slightest touch makes you have the White Gland Virus. These zombies are found in science labs. They can mutate zombies making them into parasited zombies. These zombies are easy to kill and easy to notice because they are glowing white. Threat Level: Intermediate

Parasited Zombies: They are stronger than shamblers and smarter too. They are infected by the White Gland Virus. They make a high pitch hissing noise. They are also known as "Infected Shamblers". Threat Level: Medium

Slave Zombies: These zombies are the worst of shamblers. These zombies have chains on them and use it to grab distant enemies. They are light grey zombies and have alot of scars and wounds on them. They mostly have a horrifying howl which alert zombies making them come for its aid. Slave zombies have sharp teeth and will bite survivors only. Slave zombies are killed by shooting its head which is obvious. Slave zombies will destroy anything in its path if its head is removed after 5 mins. Slave Zombies are found around Old Slaver Camps Threat Level: Medium

All types of animals as an infected i would count, But im a bit too lazy to do so.

As I head East I notice something. The city is only about a mile from where I stand. "Oh curses." I sit down and look at my map. "I should start heading north towards the suburbs." I start making my way North.

I beat down zombies with I pipe I grabbed, trying to avoid getting bit. I hear screeching and scrambling nearby. "Great. Swarmers. Not going this way though." I beat the last zombie, and sit down. "Phew." I look at the bloody mess around me. "Wonderful..."
