| For me, I'd have to say fighting. Platform comes in a close second. |

Some people could associate fighting games with button mashers, which doesn't take too much skill at all in most cases. :l
Though that's some people's opinions. Some Rpg's aren't too hard, just painfully long grind fests.
Not sure what I'd say is the hardest genre. Strategy games maybe.

| Each genre tests on different skills. RPGs works on strategies. FPS is like your coordination. Platformers and side scrollers test your reflexes. puzzle games tests your mind. and so on and so on. |

| For me the most difficult is 4X strategy. |

Colonization. I don't understand Sim City at all. It told me "windmills create energy." So, I put a billion windmills and was told "'ders no energy." |

'RPGs works on strategies.'
In the case of MMORPGs, it's more like get the broken class, get the best gear for that class, copy the most common tree skill build, then proceed to repeat the same rotation over and over. |

Jk, usually fighters. UFC games are hard as heck for me.
Ain't no grave, can hold Windows XP down. |

| Fighting games I guess. Other ones that come to mind are tough action games, like Devil May Cry or Demon Souls. |

| I don't count fighting games. The entire difficulty comes from hard to pull of combos. That shouldn't count. |
