That's not my business I don't want to rule or conquer anyone I should like to help everyone if possible We all want to help one another, human beings are like that We want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery We don't want to hate and despise one another In this world there's room for everyone and the good earth is rich And can provide for everyone The way of life can be free and beautiful But we have lost the way Greed has poisoned men's souls Has barricaded the world with hate Has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want Our knowledge has made us cynical Our cleverness hard and unkind We think too much and feel too little

The hate of men will pass, and dictators die And the power they took from the people will return to the people And so long as men die, liberty will never perish

who said you had to conquer?

Not everyone.
> In this world there's room for everyone and the good earth is rich And can provide for everyone
for the most part yes
> But we have lost the way Greed has poisoned men's souls Has barricaded the world with hate
as long as theres humans there is going to be greed
> Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want
We still hand want before machinery. greed will always be here for the most part

but how?

@serbia You are over analyzing this, but I will humor you anyways. OP came from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SL7t1DQw5e0
"Not everyone." The path to hell is paved with good intentions. I dont believe many are truly evil. Maybe some, but not many.
"as long as theres humans there is going to be greed" In a perfect world, there would be no want. Only satisfaction.
"We still hand want before machinery. greed will always be here for the most part" Yes we did.
"but how?" WMDs come to mind.

well your perfect world is impossible

How does thinking to much lead to WMD's? |

"well your perfect world is impossible" For us, yes. But maybe over many generations.
"How does thinking to much lead to WMD's?" It takes quite a bit of thought to create one. And to use one. Using one is a decision which would require purely analytical thought. Killing millions of innocent people, for what? Empathy would stop many from launching, as it has in the past. IE: Vasili Alexandrovich Arkhipov. Empathy stopped him from launching that nuke. If he had, the world would of descended into nuclear war.

It is human nature to want.

While yes, that is true, but it can be reversed. I'm going to use an example now .Hatred can want you to launch the nuke but logical thinking can stop it. Both feeling and thinking can be used for good or bad. |

"Hatred can want you to launch the nuke but logical thinking can stop it. Both feeling and thinking can be used for good or bad." Logically, he should of launched that nuke. Strategically he should of launched before the perceived attacks hit as a counter attack.
But feeling stopped him.

yes it did, but in my reversed scenario, logical thinking could of also did it.
What I am trying to say is both can be used for good, and both can be used for evil |

How would there be nothing left to want? Humans tend to want more then others. giving everyone equal possessions in everything is a bad idea, so there will always be people with more or less stuff |

"yes it did, but in my reversed scenario, logical thinking could of also did it.
What I am trying to say is both can be used for good, and both can be used for evil" And what I am saying is that even in it, logic says he should of launched. While emotion can lead to bad, what I really mean when I say feeling is empathy.

but my scenario was causing his hatred to want to launch and his logical thinking to stop his launch. |

"that putting humanity at stake isn't worth it for something as silly as hatred" Which is an example of empathy, not logic. You feel for humanity as a whole, not wanting to destroy it.
While it is so blatantly obvious as a human, its not exactly logical. What his training says he should of done is launch. Thats what a computer would do. Thats what he logically should of done.
But his empathy, his humanity stopped him. A computer can not feel. A computer would not have hesitated.
As a whole, we are drifting closer and closer to non-feeling machines. To computers.
