People try to go as far as possible to feel good about themselves
even if that means degrading others |

I think both are bad. You should tell this to people that actually think that.

Obviously there is something wrong with being fat- It is categorized as a disease.
It affects your health negatively, and anyone who says otherwise are trying to justify themselves from being overweight. It isn't healthy, and it isn't healthy trying to delude yourself that it is.

Basically, an extra 50 pounds is much better than 50 pounds below the average. Your body can run with extra weight. Too little and crap hits the fan much sooner than it will with extra weight.

@Earth Exactly. Being overweight is still bad, but much better than being underweight.

Some statistics: Both being underweight and overweight causes shorter lifespans of up to 40 years. Being underweight causes fatigue, exhaustion, more susceptible to heat-related illnesses, and weakened immune system. Being overweight increases the chances of heart disease, kidney failure, liver failure, bladder failure, increased chance of stroke, increase chance of certain cancers, increased chance of kidney stones, gallbladder failure, increased fatigue and exhaustion.

What about being really tall with a body adapted for such height? My legs are massive down to the bone.
