I just had a thought, what if the reason the hunt is lagging is because of the lobby? More specificly, how it's set up.

Each time someone joins, a new server is taken up and each time, Roblox has to send terrain data to that one person. Now when the hunt was open, there was +1000 people in the game, making 1000 different sets of terrain that the server needs to watch for!


But, what if the servers allowed more players? Other then some terrain and smoke, there isn't really anything heavy for the clients to deal with for more players.
With the 1000 servers, just 20 players each would cut down the sets of "lobbies" from 1000 to 50! Now it might seem like much, but think about it this way.

Say each egg planet in the background was 100 "blocks" worth. Now there's around five planets right? 500 "blocks" with 1000 servers makes 500,000 "blocks" the servers have to deal with, giving tons of issues to the site due to the fact that it couldn't handle so much.

To put it simply, why not add more people per server and cut down on the amount of servers that the Roblox Servers have to handle?

Gordon is on, and mods can come on later too, this isn't the only point in time mods will be on.

@George,

That's just it, if the game is using +1000 different servers, compared to 50 servers, what would lag more? This is just my idea saying the +1000 servers would take server space from the other things on Roblox.

I think this would make it even worse, as it will cause major lag to the lobbies

Glad we both had this thought jojods!
This was the best idea I had for fixing all this, might have to think up another.

@Wary,

It could, but that wouldn't that also be less damaging then TWG? It worked fine without issues for teleporting when the Ski Lifts were fixed, everyone walked to it, and teleported

What's wrong with more people bacon? All you do there really is walk to the portal. Heck they can even disable chat if they needed too, making it as if they aren't even there.

DUDE SAYING THIS DELAYS THE EGG HUNT EVEN MORE SINCE NOW THEY HAVE TO FIX THOSE BUGS Oh and 1 question....Why couldn't they test it out?
