SSDs cost more and have more limited space, but have very fast reading and writing speeds, increasing loading time significantly. HDDs cost less and can have tons of space, but slow read/write speeds. Great for storage.
And yes, you should totally google it, finding your answer in a matter of seconds. It was your first thought putting it here? |

Anyway, I assumed that though it's off topic, you would be able to help me considering that you have experience with these things. |

| SSDs also have a limited amount of time they can be written to since they're flash memory, so keep that in mind. SSDs are really useful though if you are going to be taking it everywhere(i.e. in a laptop or external drive), or if you do a lot of video/audio editing. |

| Get an SSD, unless you're the kind of person who stocks up on tons (or maybe I should say terrabytes) of movies and games (cough ARRRRR *wink wink*) |

| I have a 60GB SSD and 2x1TB HDDs. The storage space of the HDDs added to the speed of the SSD is an unbeatable combination. |

SSDs are VERY fast but if they crash then you're completely screwed. It's near impossible to recover the data. HDDs are slower but more reliable.
Every drive will crash at one time or another. If you can I would try to find a Hybrid drive. Hybrid drives use SSD for commonly used files and HDDs for more permanent storage. |

Prehistoric: RAID 0 the 2 HDDs. Faster speeds, although if 1 fails, both fails.

It seems you either get loads of problems with your hard drives, or you don't at all.
Before, I used to always get crashes and such with 6 old HDDs in RAID 0, now with 2 250gb HDDs it's never crashed and I don't have problems with speed |
