Hey!
Recently I've been trying to make a boat, that you can actually control, for an upcoming project of mine, however, I've been having a problem where the motors are just turning left so it turns right all the time. After that, I tried making a boat car but that just got thrown up in the air and the propellers just detached.
So, my question is, can somebody tell me how to make a WORKING boat/ship that moves with physics and doesn't throw me up in the air.
Thank you. |

By physics, do you mean a boat that moves by itself, just like how the ones in the games like "Survive a Waterfall' move by they're selves? Or do you mean like a drivable boat?

| An actual drivable boat. By physics I mean that rocks around or something. But yeah, an actual drivable boat. |

| That's a bit tough. ive seen models and they don't have physics on them, they just stay frozen solid while driving (meaning you can float on air :/) |

Yeah, like ghost said. Making boats have physics while drivable is a challenge, so getting a personal tutor for scripting it, someone that is pretty skilled at scripting, perhaps crazyman32 if you can manage to get him.

| Hmm, OK. Is there any way that I could make a boat without it rocking around. Kind of like a car, but in water? |

Yes, I know of an easy way to do it, it might not seem too realistic though in the game.
Basically, make a car. Then, make the tires have a transparency of 5 or more so they're invisible. That's all it is to it, easiest way to accomplish it, other ways would involve much, much more.

| Hmm, when I make a car in water, the seat just weighs it down and the wheels just spin, nothing else. |

Here is a little example I've made:

It rocks back and forth a bit, but it works like you'd expect it to. |

No, not really.
I've considered doing YouTube tutorials on things before though. Maybe I'll start with this. |

You can learn from this working boat. It is pretty easy to figure out. Look at all the parts properties, read the scripts, take it apart and try to rebuild. It will be the errors that you will learn the most from.

There are other ways , 4 wheels with props scriptwelded to them is the most basic.
Or you can try this seat that EgoMoose is working on, it still has glitches, but fixes are in the works. No props neccessary it uses bodyforce to drive. Build your boat and weld this seat to it.

I should also mention that when deconstructing models you should select all parts from edit button, then set transparency to 0 so you can see the hidden parts.
Here is my favorite boat in all of roblox.Made by "takeovertom" this one is a little more technical then 69scott69's boat which I linked earlier.

Use the terrain water and build a boat that works in that.
