Yep, title's got the issue. I found someone else's video of the same thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Msevo-0xPcE

I've found a couple forums on here with the same issue also, but nothing has a solution. I'd REALLY like a solid solution. The issue: ROBLOX Launcher starts from browser. RobloxPlayerBeta.exe starts (like it's supposed to), but before bringing up the game window, brings up an error saying, "Unable to join game. Please try again later." The game window never opens.

Things I've tried that do NOT work:

- Removing all ROBLOX registry entries, all ROBLOX files (YES ALL, AppData, Temp, My Videos, and all the rest!)
- Reinstalling (Yeah, no, I've tried this about 5 times.)
- Restarting my computer (Don't give me that nonsense, it doesn't work either.)
- Restarting my modem & router (Not the issue, it works on other worse computers connected to the same internet.)
- Waiting a week (I wish that would have worked.)
- Adjusting screen resolution and quality

This problem didn't exist one day, and it did the next day. What triggers this? How can I actually solve the issue? Let me know ASAP please, I'm having to use my 2003 computer, which doesn't support any of the good places. xD

Also note, this isn't a bad wireless connection. It's ethernet, directly to the cable modem, not even through the router.

Thanks!

Check your firewall and/or antivirus. What version of Windows are you running? Hardware specs?

Also, you shouldn't manually delete Roblox registry entries/and or files. You have an uninstaller for that.

Does this only happen for certain games/server or all of them?

You are using the latest version of your web browser too, right?

- I've tried shutting off the firewall entirely, that didn't help. Antivirus isn't the issue either, I have the same one on all my computers, and it works on them. (MSEssentials FYI). It's boggling that it stopped working overnight.

- This is Windows 7 pro, I don't have it near me to check the specs but it's well above the requirements. It can handle the most complicated games with ease.

- Uninstallers don't go through your registry, and they don't delete temporary files and such. Not the default windows one anyway. I find it easier and more reliable to do it myself.

- Latest version of chrome, yes.

I really hope someone can find a solution.. it's been a while since I posted this, and it still hasn't fixed itself like most people say it does.

all right tech tips 101 coming

- Adjusting screen resolution and quality"

- good go- MY VIDEOS? Seriously, that's just videos. You didn't need to remove that; it has nothing to do with the program.
- mhm.
- uh this actually does work sometimes
- good, but why'd you try it if that was the case
- heh.
- err... this typically won't help ever.

"- I've tried shutting off the firewall entirely, that didn't help. Antivirus isn't the issue either, I have the same one on all my computers, and it works on them. (MSEssentials FYI). It's boggling that it stopped working overnight."

Dude. You turned off your freaking firewall? Never do that. You've gone full compromise.
MSEssentials won't save you. Get Malwarebytes anti-malware if you don't want to get a quality anti-virus. Malwarebytes will just scan your computer.
Scan your stinking computer. I can almost guarantee that you've got at least one virus.

Also, GPU please.

@Vapor
Actually, you should do that. Like OP said, uninstalling doesn't get rid of those files. The issues is sometimes within those files, thus deleting them can help.

- Yeah, My Videos. If I want a full uninstall, I do a full uninstall. Nothing harmful in that.
- Actually I've tried reinstalling about 15 times now. xD
- Sometimes it works in some cases, but I'm tired of people telling me to just restart.
- Why did I try it? To eliminate all possible impossibilities so that I don't have to go through the process of morons telling me to do the simple stuff .-.
- Some people with the same problem said that waiting fixed it for them. It's been like a month now and it's definitely not fixed :P
- Typically not, but just in case, I tried it.

Here's my rap battle line to you:
"Do you have a name for that, or is it called stupidity? Come on now, check your facts, before you challenge my validity." In other words, all you did was pick on my troubleshooting methods; it didn't help me solve the problem, did it?

- Your videos are freaking screen recordings. It has nothing to do with the program and does not have any effect if you're trying to reinstall.
- Let me point out that I never said to do it, I was just approving that you tried it.
- This is actually a common remedy for some problems.
- Good reason, I suppose.
- Waiting worked? Curious.
- Good reason also, I suppose.

I didn't pick on your troubleshooting methods. I told you that doing a couple of the things you did won't help.

You're the one that thinks that deleting your videos has ANYTHING to do with ROBLOX's program files.

By the way, I did ask for your GPU. I can't troubleshoot much until I figure out your GPU.

@PrincipessaRosalina
You are not being helpful by restating the user's available memory.
If you /were/ trying to be helpful, please explain to me what point you were trying to make by doing that ^-^

He said 4095MB. I corrected him.
4095MB is 1MB short of 4GB.

Four gigs of VRAM? Dang. I hope you're running a multi-monitor rig.

Anyway, I'm not sure what the problem is. It could be outdated drivers, but I kinda doubt that.

Yeah, actually I am using a tiny LCD monitor with 1024 x 768 resolution, because both my nice ones died. Fancy that.. xD Anyway, I have no idea what the issue was, but it is working now. Either it was time, or a ROBLOX update that somehow fixed it.

I really wish I could tell you what fixed it, because just like all the other forums out there, they all say it just worked after a while. xD It took about 2 months for it to start working again, fyi. But it works. :)
