Hello, the following will be a guide to organize the French Army. It will list the ranks, and responsibilities of each person to make sure that NFE is as realistic as possible. (Note, though some ranks have more responsibilities then listed, to make it as least confusing as possible, I have removed some responsibilities of a rank)

Recruit:
Conscripts- These are fresh soldiers called to serve the army, the have no regiment and technically do not have a ranking either. They fill gaps where needed, and await training to become Soldat and enter a regiment.

Junior Enlisted:
Soldat- The first rank of the French army, follows the orders of all in command of them. They are the backbone of the army.

Caporal- Similar to the Soldat, but can command of a small équipe (Fireteam) of four men.

Caporal-Chef- Commands an équipe

Sub Officers: (NCO's, still considered enlisted)

Sergeant-Commands a Squadron (8-12 men)

Sergeant-Chef- Second In Command for a Platoon (26-64 men)

Adjundant-Chef: Same responsibilities as a Lieutenant, can lead a platoon.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beyond here are officer ranks.

Junior Officer:

Sous-Lieutenant- Commands a platoon

Lieutenant- Commands a platoon, but is held higher then a Sous-Lieutenant and is usually given priority over Sous-Lieutenant for positions of command.

Capitaine- Commands or is second in command of a company of at least 80 men.

Senior Officers:

Commandant: Leads a Company

Lieutenant Colonel: Commands a battalion of at least 300 men, can be second-in-command to a regiment.

Colonel: Commands a regiment. (From here on forwards the numbers are too large for a roblox group.)

General Officers:
Général de brigade- Commands a Brigade made up of regiments

Général de division- Commands a division made up of brigades

Général de corps d'armée- Is in command of an army made of brigades

Général d'armée, Marshall, and Emperor are all in supreme command of the entire army of france.

All the information listed is accurate towards our time period, thank you for reading.
