| I'm a libertarian, which means I generally support free enterprise and capitalism, small government, and individual freedoms. I feel like I've gotten less radical over time as a libertarian, though. |

| Hello! I believe in British socialism in the sense of 1945-51 Atlee's government or somethign of the sort, so I guess you could call me a moderate democratic socialist :). |

@star
No, there's only one or two communists here. Usually the forum is more right-wing than this. |

"A good start is learning about the Cold War."
How much of the Cold War? Where do I start? I'm currently learning a little about WWII, so is there anything relevant in that aspect? |

| Fascism is good to read of. In the Cold War, learn of the two ideologies, Capitalism and Communism and learn about their criteria and how it affected their nation. |

| Well I'm not a communist but I don't like big businesses having control and politicians and other people having ridiculous amounts of wealth. |

>I don't like big businesses having control
I agree with you there, as a laissez faire capitalist. Businesses should not influence the government, although the government shouldn't influence the businesses either (except to a very small degree.)
>and politicians and other people having ridiculous amounts of wealth.
The way I see it, is that as long as your wealth was acquired legally (i.e not through fraud or coercion) then you should be able to have as much as you can earn. Secondly, I feel what's more important is (instead of putting a ceiling on how much you can succeed) there should be high levels of social mobility so that anyone willing to work will be able to become at least somewhat successful (as in, a poor person can become middle class.)

| Laissez Faire capitalism is close to what I believe as well. I'm more towards right than left to be honest, but I still call myself Centrist because a lot of Capitalism doesn't appeal to me. |

| In regular Capitalism, the country is basically run entirely by wealthy corporations which control everything, I don't like that. |
