Okay, so I've seen a lot of posts on how to perfectly build , thus here are a few tips and instructions, for a successful build/game.
1) I always build in studio mode using Cmd.Utl plugin for cframing, this allows me to cframe in studio instead of build mode, and taking chances of ruining any scripts.
2) Build assistant and Cmd.Utl used together is a perfect tool for terrain and smooth building. (There are a few tutorials you can search for for superb terrain.)
3)Always try to add the smallest detail, unless what you are building is a game with map changing or a lot of items being used, ignoring this may cause lag.
4) Think outside the box, do what you think is creative or never would of thought about being possible in the real world.
5) Try to avoid ideas of other games, such as sword fighting, gear wars, admin, etc.
6) Try to listen to your visitors for ideas, but don't always add what they want, add what you think is right.
7) Always test you newly added update before releasing, most likely you will need another place for this.
8) Always update you game every 5 minutes while building, this will prevent loss of hard work if a crash was to happen.
9) Don't ever give away items for no cost such as admin, VIP or game passes for ANYONE, this includes friend (Unless you think they deserve it) this will be unfair for other players.
10) Don't put commands as a gamepass, if you think I'm wrong just wait, it will not be good for you later on. (If you do make commands a gamepass put it at a bizarre price, maybe around 500 to 1250. This will earn you currency and not many people will be able to buy it, less trouble.)
11) Always make the player feel welcome or better about the feel to the game, maybe like a welcome GUI or a dialog chat where the player spawns, this might not be a good idea for any fighting games.
12) Give a reason for the player to stay at the game, such as shops, upgrades, and etc.
13) Try to implement a reason for players to socialize this will make players become friends and maybe get them to come back later for possible memories or such. (This also possibly increase the game's likes by 50%)
I will probably add more to this later, if you want track the thread and maybe bump it every so often. |

| Love the guide, I had quit for a year and now I'm back, it's nice that they implemented plugins. |

I build good, maybe even great, I only use the tools ROBLOX studio give to you. ( and stuff for triangle terrain )

Yeah, this is a good idea but leads to people trying to make the game in their image and not the creators.

I actually use the building tools by F3X and find them quite nice.
CmdUtl is OK, but, I just sortafind the F3X ones easier.
Then again, I am new at building, so... :) |
