I know this is a really dumb thing to ask, but it is telling me to update my drivers when I open it.
Should I update it? |

It's legitimate.
Always update drivers. You will get more performance out of your GPU due to optimization of drivers |

Another question,
It says I can update to a new driver, the 335.23.
Should I? |

As long as its not a beta driver, it's a must-update. Beta drivers have sometimes been known to cause problems. |

Doubling what Zangoose said. If it is a non-beta driver, update with no questions asked. Beta drivers can cause issues, but you will not receive a notification for them so it is fine. Seriously. Drivers. Are. Awesome.
When in doubt, update drivers.

also, while doing that, be sure to run disk cleanup and disk defragment. Those will also speed up your pc. |

There is a reason I stick around VGF,
I do actually enjoy being helpful. I also enjoy being rude. |

ieye, do you have msi afterburner or any similar programs that allow you to control your gpu fan? they come in handy when playing high end games. you can even customize your fan speeds at certain temperatures. |

I don't, but I may.
List of programs that allow you to do this?
Also, it seems updating my driver got my fan to finally stop roaring. |

Does not seem like I do.
I am fine for now without it, though.
The hardest game for my computer to currently run is Rust, and it runs it fine.
Thanks, though. |

Ah, a mobile GPU.
Seriously, monitoring the temps on that and changing fan speed can gain a lot of performance. |

How does that work? Do I just install a program and it does that? |

Just download MSI Afterburner, then open it. Then while running the game, alt tab to look at temperatures.
Above 80 generally means you would go into MSI afterburner, take fan speed off of auto, and turn to 100%. Check temps then. |
