i hate it because the characters are either: not powerful enough so they stand back knowing they are weak or: are very powerful yet never take that power to do something
it just feels like watching a person look into a fight and thinking "omg so scary must stand back wait i want to do something wot do :("
i mean it's a really good idea for a story yet it isn't given very well |

| I only watched Catching Fire and it was like... 2 hours long. 1:30 of it they weren't even in the dome. It was a tiny little 30 minute survival fight. |

I don't hate it
it's just commercial fiction, not classical
more for entertainment than learning |

| I like the hunger games. Hated the ending of the last movie though. |

entertainment
that's the issue i'm having
there isn't much
and even if there is
i constantly found myself saying "wait what's happening"
for example in the movie catching fire i had NO idea the spinning thing was the cornucopia, i thought it was a small island of sand, since it never mentioned weapons flying off of the holders, or just mentioning a straight forward message of what we're standing on would be nice |

"spinning thing was the cornucopia" did you and i see the same movie because it was pretty clear exactly what the cornucopia was
"or just mentioning a straight forward message of what we're standing on would be nice" you do realized that not telling them this was the point right the tributes aren't supposed to know anything about the place |
