There's no pain that can be noticed. Microfractures are painless. Macrofractures aren't so painless.

Uphill runs... how can I do so when everywhere around me is FLAT?

Plus, that's how I got to 11'3" and counting. I run uphill at an 89.9 degree angle. It's not perfectly uphill so it's possible.
