What if we had all the creativity in the world possible and then weren't able to put it into model form, into a real, living model? This thought has been pestering me for a while, mostly when I try to create something the Roblox Studio engine doesn't cooperate with. Lately, I've been getting lag when building. I think it would be an interesting add-on to be able to create fluid fields that have blowing wind, and gravity enabled. Things that would make water flow a certain way, taking you with it, and to make leaves fall from trees. I'm aware that as Roblox is now, it wouldn't be possible, but I find that it would be interesting.
Machinery would also be interesting. Things that contract in certain types of pressure. Things that force water through a certain pipe and you can hear and possibly even see it above you.
Just a thought. |

All these things are currently possible.
When you use terrain water with the stamper, you can set a direction for it to flow.
Leaves from trees is also (relatively) easy. it would go something like this:
math.randomseed(tick())
function drop(l) l.CanCollide=false--To prevent it from stumbling over tree branches l.anchored=false repeat wait(.0001) until l.Position.Y<=0+2--Change the first number to the height of the ground l.CanCollide=true end
local tab function leaves(tree)
for i, v in pairs(tree:GetChildren()) do --Get a table of all leaves. Make sure that none of the leaves are welded together, and they're all anchored. if v.Name="Leaf" then table.insert(tab, tree:GetChildren[i]) end for i=1, #tab do wait(1)--Adjust this to your liking drop(tab[math.random(1, #tab)]) end end end
Back to your points, now.
Wind is difficult, but feasible. Check out treyrenoylds's places.
Machinery is also doable with the current setup. We have floorwires, 3d sounds, BindableEvents, ect.

Hmm. Seems interesting. I never really used the Terrain Stamper and Water; it's extremely slow for me to use.
Are you aware of any ways to create hostile Alien Races that are calm until they are aware of you?
Also, while we're on the subject, what about shifting grass? Or mammals? |

Hostile alien races. Now that's an interesting idea...
I'll go do some research and get back to you on that. Pretty much anything you can think of is scriptable tho. Grass, yes, but it would lag a ton. Mammals, yes, I've seen it done.

| I'm not just meaning normal Robloxian shapes running after you with their arms outstretched (I'm looking at you, barrage of green, hostile Robloxian models.), I'm meaning authentic, differently shaped humanoids that can fire weapons, stab at the player, and have a smart AI. |

Yep, all doable, I've seen it done.

| That... doesn't answer my question... those are just Robloxians, I think. I'm not meaning the default models. I'm meaning Aliens. Halo's Sangheili in general. |

So let's see.
"Fluid and wind physics" I guess that you could sort of add something that looks like this through scripting, but it wouldn't be the real thing.
"Leaves" Pretty much possible.
"Machinery" Once again, possible.
"Alien race AI" Possible, but a good AI is difficulty to produce, considering you have to take pathfinding and other relevant parts of the script into account.
So yeah. Most of this is possible, but requires scripting knowledge. |

| Could you explain the Alien Race AI and how to make it work without the normal Roblox limbs? Like, your own limbs? |

| What exactly do you mean by that? Animations? Body parts consisting of multiple bits? |

| I have a work in progress set of models that have their own set of limbs. Like one, for example, has upper thighs, then has the shins curved back and the feet somewhat pointing upward at the ankle. How do you make it work like those Zombie ones, yet not have any interference? |

| To be honest, I have no clue. It's probably a more advanced way of making animations, but I don't know how it works exactly. What do you mean with interference? |

| What I meant is the legs falling down and the torso and arm pieces collapsing and it just laying there for an infinite amount of time, or it just not moving in general. |

I would recommend trying to weld each part of a limb together

Four problems: Each digitigrade leg has six parts. Two toes, upper leg, lower leg, feet. The torso has five extra parts, the inner shoulders, and the attempt to fix some of the problems in the part of the torso that connects to the legs. The only things the arms have are two more fingers, an attempt to give a tetradactyl look to them. I also added fifteen more parts to the head to give it a hunched appearance without tampering with the torso, and four of those parts to be the mandibles. |

Example
Take a normal Robloxian model with humanoid and stuffs inserted
Make all parts within it invisible, and CanCollide=false
Parent the parts you made for each body part to the body part it was made for. E.g. parent the six torso parts to the normal Torso.
Experiment with CFrame welds to get the parts where you want them
Program it to see if it works

Again, there's a problem. When I weld the pieces and attach them to the parent model (Head, Left Arm, Right Arm, Left Leg, Right Leg, Torso.), and set the parent parts to Can Collide False, when I go to check out if it works, it displays a red line under the name "Sangheili" (Model name, of course.)
Any way to fix that? |

Just to clarify, the explorer should look something like this:
Head Part Weld-to-Head Part Weld-to-Head Part Weld-to-Head Part Weld-to-Head
ect. for Head, Torso, LeftLeg, RightLeg, LeftArm, RightArm, with the welds being to the respective limbs.
