| I'm not sure what program I should download to do Lua in. I tried using Notepad++, but I'm not sure how to run my Lua codes exactly... |

| Search up "LuaBinaries" on Google for a binary executable for use in the command line, or "Lua for Windows" to install Lua on your computer. |

Alternatively, LOVE2D is a fantastic 2D game library that uses Lua.
For an editor, a lot of people will recommend Sublime Text, and I agree with them. |

sublime text 2 if you figure out how to install themes and some other packages it's really great there's some free activation codes on youtube too so |

| I was just backing up Notepad++. lua.exe inside of the Lua installation is a good way to run it ('dofile("file path here kk")'). Rbx.Lua is 'real' Lua, just a variant of it specialized for Roblox's engine. |

Actually ROBLOX didn't even change Lua at all, there's just some new functions added and some old ones removed due to security risks.
But the syntax is exactly the same. |
