Ah, okay. Is that good?
I'm upgrading to a 760 and an intel core i7-4770k. 8Gb corsair ram and I beleive the motherboard is... z87-hd3.
(Upgrading to the i7, due to what I will be doing.. heavy video editing for my course) |

@Buck, rotations per minute.
It's how fast the header spins inside. Higher is faster.
I have 500gb due to 1tb prices. (Back 3-4 years ago) |

"FX 6300 Sapphire HD 7970 3GB"
when did you get the cpu and when did you get the gpu? that seems like a pretty high end gpu to be combined with a cpu like that |

@rainbow There's no point getting a PSU that's way more powerful than what you need as they are typically at their most efficient when operating between 80-90% of their maximum load. If you only load it up to around 50% then it actually wastes a lot more power. |

@Samas, I was planning on getting a better motherboard.. maybe even do sli after a month.
Anyway, thanks for the advice. Maybe a 600w evga psu will do fine. |

@Sama Getting a bit of overkill is fine, especially with "Haswell Ready" power supplies. If it has variable fan speed control, your system will run quieter.
Anyways, my PC is as follows. -i5 4670k oc to 4.6 -Corsair H110 liquid cooler -Asus Z87-Plus Mobo -16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance RAM (1600) -1000W Rosewill lightning *I have my legitimate reasons for this* -Asus Optical drive

@Poni, nice build.
I think I might get a corsair 300r or 200r. Due to being cheap and reliable. |
