"that's founded on being incredibly ignorant."
How?
Are you implying that ignorance is morality? |

"No and where do you get this from"
The Bible is a sacred and yet Holy Book. Each story listed in the bible has a moral behind it. The Bible is fundamentally a book implicated of moral guidelines. And it does not "ignore" everything around them. There are even Catholic talk shows. As a matter of fact, there is tons of Christian Television networks. And yes, it may be a product of its time, but it has similar scenarios and crises just like in our present. And ignoring the bible doesn't always mean that you lose understanding of it, it could also cause opposition of the bible. |

"The book is obviously a product of its time and if you ignore that you lose understanding of what it really means"
>product of its time
Created in its time. Also has scenarios from that time.
>if you ignore that you lose understanding of what it really means
Fundamentally meaning if you don't read it in a long time, it'll be hard to comprehend.
