Unfortunately it requires an office 365 subscription which is $7/mo or 1.95/mo for edu customers
Pages is great and free though, so too bad poor old m$ |

| I got it on my iPhone and all I had to do was connect it to my account, which wasn't the 365 one, and that's it. |

Yes
Office for iPhone is free, but editing and creating documents on office for iPad requires the subscription. |
