I was playing around the equation for the force of gravity:
F=G(M1*M2)/D^2
And I made this: http://storage.comxa.com/gravity.html
You can right-click to create blocks with different masses and you can click them to move them around.
This only takes into the account the force of gravity and not all of Newton's laws of motion, so it gets glitchy when things collide.
I also couldn't figure out how to account for inertia so I just removed M2 from the equation to sort of simulate it.
It's pretty cool tho. |

| Taking physics doesn't mean you understand it enough to replicate it in programming. |

| Very interesting, it sorta works like a magnet except vice-verse, when you put a negative value you it repels the others, but when positive the blocks attract each other. The negative blocks also upset the positive blocks which moves them in a circular way. |

No one typing like that could write a physics engine from scratch.

Do you want me to prove it? I could go to a online pad and write one line by line to show you. |

Also, though Tigre is a little troll who talks like an idiot, hes an pretty good scripter, just more proof that even trolls can be good at scripting.

| Sure, write me a realistic physics simulator from scratch. |

I'm still waiting.
@oseday
Using other people's physics doesn't count. I want to see you write it from scratch. |

You're using someone else's engines and claiming it's from scratch? You aren't fooling anyone.
The moment you use Roblox studio you've already stopped using it from scratch. Roblox studio contains thousands of built-in things such as built-in collision detection.
Stop childishly claiming you wrote that from scratch when you clearly didn't. |

"Err...\He did."
Do you people even know what "from scratch" means? You're like a bunch of religious not jobs who keep on asserting something that's simply factually untrue.

Elsa, learn to Roblox first.
The Collision detections I've been showing you are made by me, not Roblox. I'm updating their positions every frame in positions that I give. They aren't using the Roblox's collision detection.
you've blown up enough, get out now. |

The entire physics and collision engine is not made by you. If it was, you could replicate it in somewhere else besides Roblox where all the tools are provided for you in the first place.
But you can't, because it's not from scratch. |

Ha! You just proved my point! That code is nowhere NEAR from scratch.
Nothing about that is anywhere NEAR from scratch.
One of the simplest physics engines in JavaScript is 10,000 lines of code. And you literally think you've made some accomplishment by writing an 83 line code that uses pre-made engines?
Ha! Seriously pathetic. |
