If you look at your average kids minigame websites , they have Built in flash players on the website so you dont have to download anything.

Ive also checked and these websites have up to 100 mil visits for each of their ridiculously bad games. like little maze games and puzzle that the noobiest scripter here could make.

If someone was to build such extension, roblox would probably implement it eventualy just like they did with merely's feature ( altough he also coded the real version himself.. )

Think about it, Most school computers have a setup that will not let you download games so they cant download roblox. So they go on those other websites when they have computer time at school. Back in 2009 i remember that being an issue when i was at computers.

Obviously we couldnt have games as big, but perhaps a game size limit for Browser games?

yeah i think ill link this in Suggestions and ideas. but im still posting here because most people who really know how to code this belong on this forum.

TL:DR
Browser games for kids who cant download roblox at school.
say we put a maximum file size for browser games so it does not lag?

Contrary to popular belief, if done right browsers are quite powerful.

Actually, performance in browsers is a non issue.

Unreal Engine 4 runs in Firefox, and you can run this demo called Epic Citadel in a few browsers too. Not sure how hard it is to port OpenGL (Which roblox uses for mac/mobile) to WebGL though.

I don't see a reason for this. If a school blocks game downloads then the student shouldn't be playing that game, I'm not going to say that Roblox should or shouldn't respect that but creating an in browser player would be a waste of time when they already have the client. Also flash games require a download, flash is only included in some browsers, but I would thinks. Majority of little kids use Internet Explorer.

@Kitty

Schools dont block roblox.

They block you from downloading stuff.
Some school labs have computers with One central HDD where you cant even save a .txt file onto it.

Anyways, any kid here who went to a decent school in their lives will know what im talking about : Browser games are better at school.

I personaly dont care, i dont go to school.
However i see interest in adding such feature because i build games and
i want more players.
