In SAR, in order to increase the efficiency and structure of our group shout, we use “shout tags”. Shout tags are used to specifically label what we put in the shout, such as forums, messages, training links, raiding links, and more.

[1] Proper Use of the Shout The shout should be used to benefit the group, not yourself. For example, there shouldn't be any shouts advertising donations, unrelated forums, or unrelated places. Keep in mind the shout is not your personal status. In the shout we expect formality, grammar, and professionalism.

[2] Brackets Brackets in the shout determine the length of time the shout should remain up before it may be over-shouted.
[Type 1] { } - These brackets indicate the shout can be over-shouted at any time, can be used to announce a training has ended or to patrol SAR’s fort. (Ex. {MSG} Training over, good job SAR.)
[Type 2] [ ] - These brackets indicate the shout must be left up for one hour, and can be over-shouted by anyone after one hour has passed, or can be over-shouted if given permission from the person who shouted or an Lieutenant General+. (Ex. [TRAIN] Training! --link--)
[Type 3] [[ ]] - These brackets indicate that the shout can be over-shouted after three hours unless given permission by the person who shouted it or an Lieutenant General+. This shout would be used in more urgent scenarios. (Ex. [[RAID]] Raid here! --link--)
[Type 4] {[ ]} - These brackets indicate that the shout can not be over-shouted by anyone except the COMMANDER. Side shouts can not be added. (Ex. {[ANNOUNCE]} SAR will be going to war!)
Side Shouts: A side shout is when you add something into a previous shout, so both things fit into the bracket. (Ex. [TRAIN/FORUM] Training here: --link-- || Forum: --link--)

[3] Tags A tag in a shout is what goes inside of the bracket and provides a quick summary describing the shout's contents.
[NEWS] - This is used to alert the clan to specific news.
[TRAIN] - This is used to tell members that there is a training going on.
[FORUM] - This is used to link members to an important post related to SAR.
[WARN] - This is used to tell members they are doing something wrong.
[EVENT] - This is used to announce a hangout, ceremony, or a meeting.
[MSG] - This is used to give relevant, clan-related information out to the public.
[ALLY] - This is used to give members a link to an ally fort to help out with defending and other joint exercises.
[DEFEND] - This is used to alert members there are hostile forces at the fort, and defense is requested.
[RAID] - This is used to give members a link to a hostile fort to attacking.
[RALLY] - This is used to gather members prior to an important even such as a raid.
[ANNOUNCE] - This is used to get important information across.

[5] Conclusion In conclusion, shout tags are an important part to SAR. They keep shouts organized and efficient. It is absolutely necessary that anyone using the shouts has read this guide over and understands the limits and boundaries of shouting.
One last piece of advice -- When posting a link, to save space, take out "http://www." The link will function just as it had before while saving space. You can also shorten a place or item link by replacing the name with two dashes, like roblox.com/--place?id=placeid
