| If the game is so bad that you pay attention to the graphics while playing you shouldn't be playing that game. |

Who said the game is bad? Maybe people like to be immersed in the game.
Why settle for low, when you can go for the best? That is like saying "Well, I could buy this prius and go to the race track. I won't do well, but I will still be driving on the track" or "I could buy this Nissan Skyline, go to the track, and make a great lap time and have a lot more fun" |

@poni
If a game itself is immersive you won't notice the graphics at all |

Or maybe the game is so good that we want the best experience with it
Never tell me the odds |

except graphics make a huge contribution to a game's immersion factor it's like saying "if a car works you won't notice the tires" |

Maybe it's their hobby and they buy a "Super" PC to show how much they love their hobby.
You know people spend thousands on Hornby (no pun intended) train sets and set them up in their attics for a hobby?
It's an expensive hobby, but it sure looks damn interesting. |

If I went to say, a Daytona International race in a 1996 Toyota Corolla, would I really have fun racing against 200 mile an hour stock cars?
No.

@Rose I would be absolutely terrified. I would be lucky to hit 70 in a corolla. With 200 MPH stock cars flying past me while I drove at 70. Oh lawd.

@Pon I pull into Pit Lane.
Then you get penalized. Then you are forced back in the track and not allowed back in the pit.
A pack of 29 stock cars zoom past you in a three wide formation, 200 miles per hour. Wat you gonna do brother.
