Might be to raise up funds to continue production on The Phantom Pain. That game looks like it might end up being really expensive to continue production on, especially considering it's for 4 different platforms (plus a possible PC port), and Konami isn't exactly sitting on a boatload of cash...so the higher ups might have gotten the bright idea to raise up funds by charging 30$ for what is essentially a demo.
I'm not saying that's right, but it's a likely theory. But if that's true they should have started a Kickstarter, instead of ripping off fans. |

The ONLY reason I got Ground Zeroes is so I don't have so much popcorn in my house, and that I wanted to know some prequel lore to TPP.

| The full game of Ground Zeroes is seven hours if you try to 100% it. Not too bad for a $30 in my opinion. |

The reason why the price is $30-40 shouldn't matter, it is still sending the message that publishers can put out hour long games at retail price and people will buy it. If Konami keeps doing this, I think we all know that other publishers (*cough cough* EA) will do this as well. Also, it can be easily completed in 20 minutes (cutscenes not included) by a MGS noob like me. At a $30 retail price that is exactly $1.33 per minute of actual gameplay. |

Another thing: I have over 1000hrs in TF2. I spend $5 on TF2. That is 120 minutes per cent. MGS GZ: $1.33 per minute TF2: 120 minutes per cent |
