(I appreciate all the usefull critics. If you think something here is wrong, please tell me.)
(This is an ISRP, and not a sign up thread. It's reposted.)
--Plot--
It was back in 2056 when the world started falling apart. Population was beyond the limits. Seventeen five percent of earth was urbanizated. Earth's resources were ending. Revolutions. Riots. Pollution. Alot of plants and animals went extint. Very few places with wildlife remain. Thus caused plenty of land to be abandoned due to the lack of air.
Upper half of U.S. is abandoned because there's barely any trees to generate oxygen there. Before it all got out of hand, the government formed an army that is now known as USTRA. The United States Territory Reclamation Army. They try to keep law and order in their territory. Every piece of territory they don't own is lawless and ruled by marauders and other criminals. They fight over territory with USTRA and other of theirs for territory, food and because of their criminal nature. USTRA's citizens are unhappy because most of their resources are spent towards USTRA. They say once the criminals are driven out, life will become better. But will they drive them off ever?
Those criminals have been forming alliances to fight the USTRA lately. And seems like they suceeded in a few fights.
The best place in earth is currently South America, where wildlife still exists. Peace exists there too, and people can afford to eat there. Everywhere else is mostly chaos. Everybody dream to escape there. I'm no exception.
All that matters here is survival. And survive I will in this city.
--The Dangers of Holdsville--
This is Holdsville. It used to be a small town, but it expanded into a massive city. It's full of ruble, junk, and pollution. However, all this junk lying around might serve me as good cover from bullets. Criminals, random people and other survivors reside around. Three local gangs have territory within the city. It appears that USTRA has been moving into it lately aswell.
--Rules or sorta--
What I say goes. I control all the NPCs. You might die for stupid or non cautious behavior. Your life is your top priority. Be realistic. Ammo isin't plentiful. Keep it in mind. I have a poor knowing of firearms, so please list them yourself. Don't overuse modern weapons. The amount of items you carry is limited. You may only have one firearm at the start, as ammunition is rare. You can have makeshift weapons. I'll determine all consequences of your actions and other stuff.
--The Factions--
USTRA - United States Territory Relcamation Army. They're trying to keep order and law in the country, and also take all available territory back, but most of the people in their territory are unhappy because almost all of the resources are used to keep USTRA fed and equiped. They're composed of conscripts that were mobilized before everything went out of control, and what was left out of the U.S. army. Plenty of them are veterans. They are equiped very well, with modern technology and weapons, but almost nobody else know how to operate most of the new devices. They've been moving into the local area lately.
LOCAL CRIMINAL GROUPS
No Facers - a group of mean criminals. They keep their faces covered with bandanas. They enjoy pillaging and plundering. They only trust their own, everyone else are their enemies. They prefer using knives, but they can handle a pistol well too. They're famous for their very well built sniper nests that watch over their territory, so best keep your head low.
The Trashers - they're a bunch of poor, hungry and poorly armed people. They're numerous because there's lots of this type of people. They're tired of being pushovers, so they grouped under one banner to take care themselves by agressive means. They're greedy and desperate. They mostly use makeshift weapons, overruning their opponents with massive numbers and beating them up. But a rare one of them also has a firearm, so don't underestimate them.
The Independent Society - even though they call themselves a society of some sorts, they're still just criminals. They simply don't want to live in USTRA's territory, but they still plunder the city. However, they're much more mature than other gangs and don't really prefer fighting over talking all the time. They have a mixed arsenal of weapons, and they coordinate with each other well, making them one of the most sucessfull gangs around the state.
--The Wanderer's Journey--
The alarm clock sounds. You wake up from your uneasy nap. You had a dream. It was about your past life. It was good.
Agh, you'd wish you chould sleep longer, but you ain't got time for it. You chould afford yourself sleep only for a hour, as you saw a bunch of marauders patroling nearby. Appears you're in their territory.
You're still dizzy from waking up. You should start thinking something to start your brains up.
My name is.. what's my name again?
Oh, right.
Your age... you remember that you're not earlier than 30, but nor older than 45.. so what was it?
Oh, yes, that's it.
Your past life. How was it again? You worked as a.. um..
Yep, I was really good at it.
You stand up and go by the mirror which was in the next side of the house. You looked at it and you saw...
You were dirty but sturdy.
It was a month of two since you last organized your backpack. Perhaps it's the time?
You opened it, and you found...
That's not much. I should go find some more supplies soon. This is where my best friend comes in - my firearm. I take it off my back/out of my belt and I see a..
It's an old, but reliable weapon.
I also had this for close combat. It's an old (and possibly makeshift)...
It's still trustworthy.
I made sure it's loaded and checked how much ammo I still had. It wasn't much, but enough for a while. It was..

Harriet... no, that's a girl... Harry... Harold. Harold Thorpe.
Oh, right.
Your age... you remember that you're not earlier than 30, but nor older than 45.. so what was it?
40? Nah, I wasn't that old. Around 30... 32.
Oh, yes, that's it.

An auto mechanic. This memory came back easier, as I loved the job... fixing and repairing things was my soul.
Yep, I was really good at it.
You stand up and go by the mirror which was in the next side of the house. You looked at it and you saw...
A hardened shell of a man, with tanned skin, black hair, and dark brown eyes. There was a strong body underneath a plain white t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown jacket, toughened by the day to day challenge of surviving in a post apocalyptic world. A scar ran down the right right side of the man's face, and his eyes told untellable stories about horrors unimaginable.
You were dirty but sturdy.
It was a month of two since you last organized your backpack. Perhaps it's the time?
You opened it, and you found...
2 water bottles, one full, one 1/2 empty; a chocolate bar, a can of beans, an old, but reliable flashlight, and a small steel pipe.
That's not much. I should go find some more supplies soon. This is where my best friend comes in - my firearm. I take it off my back/out of my belt and I see a..
Glock 42, a good gun scavenged off a dead police officer.
It's an old, but reliable weapon.
I also had this for close combat. It's an old (and possibly makeshift)...
wooden bat, with nails hammered into the top, and a piece of white t-shirt tied around the handle.
It's still trustworthy.

| Having awaken up, you decided you should get going. Having explored this small house earlier, you know that there's a busted door and a big hole in the second floor of the house. What should you do now? |

You walked upstairs and saw the big hole in the wall. It was night time. You saw the street. It had a plenty of houses, a gas station and a general store.
You chould see a fire followed by smoke coming from somewhere.
You decided you should go through the door as it's qiute high here.
After leaving the house, you appeared in the street. What should you do now? |

You seriously should say if you got no interest in this RP. You go online but never post on it. How about you don't enlist for a ISRP that you don't really have time for?
Oh well. |

(I'm sorry :C I didn't realize that you were posting, as in the beginning, a long period of time went by before any change had occurred. I hadn't marked this...)
I go to the general store, and check for supplies before continuing. |

You decided you should get some supplies, as you were low on them. You walked up to the general store, hoping to fill your backpack with supplies, but unfortunentely, after moving closer to the store, you saw that the ceiling had collapsed. There was no way in.
You felt dissapointed, but you should push it away and get going. Where should you move now? |

You entered a random house.
Upon entering, you suddenly heard a scream. It came from the second floor. It was followed by bashing.
You realised you're not alone here. What should you do?! |

You decided that you should investigate.
You took your bat and started creeping upstairs. The screaming and bashing got louder, and you started hearing talking. By the attitude, you realised the voice demanded something.
You tried to creep silently, but you weren't very sucessful. The stairs were old and caused plenty of noise. Fortunentely, nobody heard it.
After walking up, you heard everything coming from an room.
''...ours. Take it!''
You were touched to see what lies in the room, but are you sure you should do it?

| I wait until their attention is completely focused on the man being beaten, then do my best to silently open the door, timing the squeaks of the joints with the hits of the bat. |

(Josh, this is NOT a sign up thread.)
You qiuckly creep in while the two men were busy beating the other man up.
Once you went inside, one of them turned around and saw you.
''Hey!'' He yelled. Reacting qiuckly, you hit him with your spiked bat. He fell down.
The second one qiuckly reacted and attempted to hit you with his own bat. You jumped back avoiding him, but he's about to strike again! What do you do? |
