I don't know if this has been suggested like a tone before - but I thought I'd suggest this.
So, firstly, the idea: The ability to change your controls gives the player more of a delightful feel if used to other keys and can even offer a new level of skill to fighting. This feature would add more customization to the game for the user. I must say, the controls are fine as it is but I am making this thread because I am used to arrow keys and using wasd to strafe is better so I would love to switch them up. I cannot help but think other people would like to just plain switch controls from some keys.
How it would work: Simple, you go to Menu, Settings, then click a new tab called "Controls" and a GUI will pop up with a scroll (if needed). For things like the chat, where it says "Press / to type" that interface will change to whatever key you choose.
TL;DR: Ability to change controls to make the user feel more comfortable and to add some more customization

| Support, yeah. Although I like the current controls some others may feel more natural to me to do because of others game I've been playing. I see no real problem here. |

| Support. Adding to this thread, having the ability to adjust smoothness and senstivity for your mouse. Especially when it comes to snipers in which have a zoom function. |

| The only controls are the zoom, jump, walk, gear, players, and main menu, do you really need to change these? Im going to change zoom in to f, and zoom out to j, and walk with the szx keys, and jump with right mouse click |

Just because you won't find use of it - does not mean you have to be hateful of it. Just a simple reason will be fine. Anyway, people can be more comfortable if they play other games with different controls - if you read my post, which I doubt you did.

No support.
Some games use their own custom keybindings. By giving users free reign over keybindings you would have issues whereby users would need to constantly change their bound keys, so as to not interfere with those being used by the current game they're in. I, personally, really see no point to this. |

I didn't really think of that Data, good point. I think it could be if the game itself changes controls for keybinds - your controls are auto changed to meet with the game's.

@TNT, But then, in my opinion, that defeats the purpose of allowing the user to decide their keybindings in the first place. What's the point in allowing their customisation, when a game can come along and effectively remove them all together? |

But really - how many games actually do that? I've not seen many.
@THESLENDMAN Reason?

@TNT, Murder Mystery, Skybound, Paintball (Daxter), Legacy RPG, Blox Hunt (I believe), Apoc Rising (I believe), etc.
You also have some gears which have special bindings. |

What if you are unable to change the special bindings - or all special bindings get set to one certain keys (or two)

| But then how would it work for scripters? if the controls are changing then surely the key events won't work as intended? |

This won't happen, to a degree. The only piece of this I support is Xur's idea of the Mouse sensitivity. Arrow keys and WASD are standard gaming controls and should stay that way. There is also a way to edit your mouse sensitivity yourself using your Computer's Control panel. Meaning Xur's idea really has no meaning either. Having these special bindings may also mess with Key Bindings on ROBLOX models such as War Group's guns. Most I've seen have a crouch or prone script in them. Also some ROBLOX gears such as Poseidon's Trident and Chiefjustus Gavel have special key bindings. This would ruin them. This update will probably never happen.
@DataStore:
I also can confirm that Apocalypse Rising and Blox Hunt both have Special key bindings.
