First Honda made a hydrogen car, but it didn't go over well. I'm assuming because, currently, "hydrogen gas stations" aren't a thing.
But now Honda is trying to push a hydrogen car.
From their site:
"Introducing the Toyota Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV). The same hybrid technology at the heart of the Prius but with a hyodrgen and fuel cell stack.
Oh, and it only emits WATER VAPOR.
With a driving experience that's on par with a gasoline engine. It's not just the next movement in automotive technology; it's the next big movement towards a better future."
There's a YouTube video of it at /watch?v=LqIdV5PdS5Y. |

... are you kidding me? Gasoline combusts as well. There's a reason it's called an internal COMBUSTION engine!
When gasoline burns, it produces CO2. When hydrogen burns, the only byproduct is H2O.
So essentially, the only thing that comes out of your exhaust pipe is water vapor.

They tried so hard to impress me, but I'm not convinced. even if they flash the screen so many times. I don't get the feel that their hydrogen car is any good. |

"EW PRIUS"
I have no clue why you hate the technology of the Prius. Do you just hate technology in general or is it clean technology you hate? |

My goodness, I want to facepalm so hard at all you people! All your replies to my thread are SO INSANELY STUPID it's just frustrating the hell out of me!
You saw a video of them showing a picture of the car and saying what it is and therefore you conclude that it's bad?! Are you kidding me?!
And you act like hydrogen cars is something new. As I said, Honda already designed one that works just as well as gasoline powered cars.
Why is it so crazy that Toyota claims to have made one as well? |

"i would have a p1 over a prius anyday"
This has nothing to do with the Prius. This is about a hydrogen car that runs off of hydrogen fuel rather than gasoline.

"not good now"
No, hydrogen cars are good NOW. How many times do I have to say this?
The technology has ALREADY BEEN DEMONSTRATED. This is NOTHING NEW.
Stop acting like it is.

"how about the fuel tho\for hydrogen cars"
the fuel is... hydrogen... >.> As I said before, which I hate repeating myself over and over to you, Honda's hydrogen car probably failed to the lack of infrastructure for hydrogen cars--essentially there are no "gas stations" for hydrogen cars. But hopefully now with two companies making hydrogen cars, this will eventually change.
There are two things I really want to see people start implementing and building infrastructure for:
The first being hydrogen cars. The technology already exists and it's great but it's not being widely implemented. I hope to see this change before I die.
The second being wireless electricity in homes. This also exists already but again, it's not widely implemented. I would also like to see this implemented before I die. |

Ah, you must mean the Honda FCX Clarity. But it's strange, why mention it now when it was first introduced in 2008? That's over 5 years ago, why bring it up now?
Also, Youtube links are alright to post on the Forums. I'm just telling you. |

what we need is just a separate fuel pump with hydrogen fuel- just in maybe a few ares- because from my research (in 7th grade lol) they get something like 200 miles on the gallon (if gallons are compatible with hydrogen- idk), and if you were to put that in perspective with normal cars, it'll go to the pump a few times a year
