The American companies.
These large businesses control the American politics with money. There was a documentary I watched, which is called "We're Not Broke". The documentary talks about how big companies like Target or Wal Mart have their bank accounts located in a foreign country so they can avoid being taxed by the federal government. You wouldn't be taxed if your bank account was located in Ireland, well that's the main goal for those companies.
Aside of the "offshore account" problem, these large companies also support politicians that are in the favor of big companies regardless of the political party. |

Ok, where should we begin:
Corrupt Gov
No actual invasive threat capability in terms of military
Smog, oh god the smog.
A nice, fat housing bubble (though those empty cities sound like fun to explore!)
Or just the general fact that China is still a second world country that has plenty more years of development to go through.
In what way is China a threat? Your turn. No, being in debt to China doesn't make them a threat, and the whole thing is widely misinterpreted. |

china, nk, and russia all have way more military soldiers than the US
china: 4.485 million soldiers total capability of 200 million more
usa: 2.220 million soldiers total
north korea: almost 10 million soldiers total
dont you dare claim "oh the technology will help" because when you see 5-200 million enemy soldiers attacking the US vs 2.220 million it wont matter at all babe
china is an emerging economic and military power, and is becoming more and more advanced in technology |

Just because the quantity is massive, doesn't mean quality. |

Numbers is not the sole cause in a victory You also need to take into account where the war is fought what kind of war is being fought the technology the equipment the the leadership the tactics and the training as well as morale and other factors

If you look at the numbers in the American Revolutionary War, the colonists were outnumbered by the British empire. Same goes for Napoleon's invasion of Russia. Napoleon had lead the Grand Army into Russia, but the Army failed to seize the Russian empire even with large numbers. |

| Again, look the the Greco-Persian War. Look up about it and you will always see the fact that the Persians had more soldiers than the Greek states. However, what the Persians did not have was the navy power the Greeks had. Before airplanes, navy was key to being a superpower like Great Britain had when the nation was an empire. |

Okay. Assuming here that numbers were everything (which, dear god almighty, they are most certainly not), you neglected to consider other Western forces.
It seems to me you are underestimating the significance of technology, and the fact most of China's "developments" are knock-offs of US versions.
China has the hand in manpower, sure. But how effective is numbers if you can't even utilize it all? How about that China's military is mostly suited for defense, with standards being 80's-90's weaponry?
The US reigns supreme in armed forces, hurrdurr, yet many don't realize this is due to our sheer distribution capabilities. The US may not have nearly as many soldiers, but they are capable of using more effectively. There's a saying, the largest air force is the USAF, the second largest is the US Navy. US/Allied forces have the upper hand in dealing damage while sustaining minimal causalities, while China's millions upon millions of "soldiers" quickly become nothing more than cannon fodder.
"dont you dare claim "oh the technology will help" because when you see 5-200 million enemy soldiers attacking the US vs 2.220 million it wont matter at all babe"
I'm willing to bet there were millions of Soviet soldiers who were thinking along the same thing while charging at a German MG42 nest with nothing but bolt rifles. You can guess how well that went for them.
As I stated, having numbers isn't all that great unless you're capable of using them. And please, for your own sake, read up of how significant technology is in military, or any aspect of conflict.

I also find it funny you're presenting a scenario were the entire armed forces of US and China would just happen to meet up in a giant field.
Come on, now. |

| Then there is the NATO alliance thanks to the Cold War. Any NATO country under attack will be supported by fellow NATO members, in a nutshell of course. |
