Price is a major factor. Interface is not very good as well. They seem to make a lot of sacrifices in order for the 1 mouse thing to work. Not very upgradeable at all. Not many games.

Problem is... You can build a PC with superior specifications than an iMac for nearly the same price
Sure, it might not be slick and smooth and not run Mac OS X... But its a computer, do something productive on it.

you will be very hard pressed to find a computer that's the size of something like the retina or the macbook air that is able to have upgradeable components |

When they crash, you have to pay someone at the local Apple store to fix it for you.
It crashes often.

@OS
Here is a video doing just that!

Half the cost of getting a Mac computer is essentially paying for the OS really.

Good thing my Macs have never crashed. Plus, Apple customer service is great. Free year warranty on all products and AppleCare+ entitles you to free repairs and reduced priced replacements

"It's not very upgradable,"
the new Mac Pro already has upgrades for 128 GB of ram in addition to user-upgradable motherboard |

Yes. You will struggle.
But honestly, I don't see the appeal in having a computer or laptop that is as thin as a sheet of paper or something. If the pricing of a product is going to go through the roof then who the hell cares about size? All a laptop has to do is fit in your laptop case. It doesn't need to be ridiculously thin.
Even the new Mac computers (the trash can looking ones) are so small, yet it isn't like you could carry it around anyway even if you tried. You'd still need the monitor, the speakers, the keyboard and the mouse.
It is like apple is trying to prove that they can make incredibly small products yet the actual usefulness of that size is almost more than a hindrance than a help.

By design the Mac pro cannot merely be upgraded compared to a normal PC, because of the size restraints.
It is good for a Mac computer, however good for a Mac doesn't mean it is good compared to a normal PC.
