Here are 2 ideas that will help with unfair killing

1. (Fixes FF killing)

When a player spawns, they start with a force field, right? So, when they spawn, they still have the ff, but they don't get any tools until AFTER the ff goes away.

2. (Partially fixes type killing)

When somebody says something, a bubble appears over their head. But while their typing, there is no sign their typing at all. So, they should have a bubble that just has "..." in it when they are typing, then when they press enter, the ... is replaced with whatever they say. This one has a flaw, and I will show how it will help, but then I'll show how it only helps for a few scenarios.

Player 1 is the guy typing. Player 2 is the guy who wants to kill Player 1


With legit player and this update:

Player 1 is typing... Player 2: Well, he's typing. But, I'll kill him legit and wait for him to stop typing.

With legit player and no update:

Player 1 is typing... Player 2: He looks like he's just standing there. It would be fair to kill him. Player 2 kills Player 1.

With non-legit player and update:

Player 1 is typing... Player 2: Ooh he's typing. Perfect time to kill him. Player 2 kills Player 1.

With non-legit player and no update:

Player 1 is typing... Player 2: Well, he's just standing there... I should kill him. Player 2 kills Player 1.



As you can see, the second update only helps with legit players. But the first doesn't have any flaws that I can see.

1.Already possible to script, this could break some games as well that rely on getting the tools right away to run some scripts. Or like deadzone where it gives you a tool before it loads you.

2.hmmm, this could be a good idea.

Player 1 was most likely to die anyways because he was standing idle.

I support idea #2. As for idea #1.. I'd like to hear some other opinions.

Its a good reason, but have you ever considered that the comment "Scriptable" is a little bit invalid? Like dynamic lighting, outlines, personal servers, all scriptable, but they got added. Why not more scriptable things?

Its a good reason, but have you ever considered that the comment "Scriptable" is a little bit invalid? Like dynamic lighting, outlines, personal servers, all scriptable, but they got added. Why not more scriptable things?

I normally don't like it when someone just says "Scriptable" either, but I think it applies here. If you were to script something such as dynamic lighting, which I don't think is possible, it would take a long time. Same with personal servers. It's to complicated even for users who know how to script, and ROBLOX is not expecting it's users to make advanced or complicated scripts.

@Sneaky I don't like it either when people say it is scriptable, but the first idea is not really needed. It does get rid of some FF killers but, the FF could help users getting spawn killed kill the guy spawn killing. Also, this is a very simple script, and should not really be a feature.

True, but how many people will take the time to add some model or script this into their game? 30% of everyone who makes fighting games? Then on the other 70% theres FF killers everywhere. This is why I want it into the game. Also, did you see my last comment where I said you should be able to change it to no FFs at all or idea 1 in configure?

Yes but don't you think its unfair enough running away from this guy whos invincible for 10 seconds after he spawns then having to fight him with all the health he took away while he was invincible? This would help tons.

@Sneaky Game developers could spread out there spawns, prehaps put in some cool game mechanics that makes it totally balanced.
