| What happened before they happened. I believe that God has been here forever but what was before the big bang(I don't believe it happened.) |

| Before big bang = antimatter that just started expanding and just mutated over time to create the elements etc. |

| And how do you know? How do you know there wasn't another universe that compacted into a dense ball of matter then exploded. |

| That's another theory. I'm pointing out one of the theories. |

| Why do you draw a line between religion and science? God is described as being omniscient and omnipotent, infinite and eternal. What else fits that description? The universe. Space-time. The dividing line between religion and science blends in many ways. We are little bits of the universe trying to understand itself. There is nothing us from the rest of the cosmos. The study of the universe is inherently the study of the self, which is a fundamental part of most religions. Can we know what happened before the Big-Bang? Probably not. If there was nothing before and everything after, there is no available evidence to draw from aside from the study of physics, the application of mathematics and a whole bucket-load of speculation. I think if we did find out such a secret, our minds couldn't comprehend the answer. Can a mass of neurons approximately the size of a grapefruit comprehend infinity? Your guess is as good as mine. |

*There is nothing separating us from the rest of the cosmos*
Sorry, cut a word there. |

| You have to follow the law that A is A, that existence exists - that all the matter in the universe simply changed its form at the event of the big bang. The universe wasn't created, it always was and is. |

@althalos
Oh look somebody who knows as much as everybody else about god (read: knows nothing objective) is jumping to conclusions again. |

Oh, dang. I meant to post this on this thread.
"“The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.”

@Hex Ahahaha I remember something in Adams' book (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) that went like "Some philosophers use the [Name, I think it was "Babwah"] fish as an argument to God's nonexistence. God said, 'I will not force anyone to believe in me, so I will not have evidence of my existence,' but the philosophers said, 'How could such an exotic creature be a creation of nature? Only God creating it could explain its existence. Therefore, there is evidence of God's existence, which should have no evidence, disproving God's existence,' and God vanished in a poof of logic."
That book had me lol'ing so much >.> |
