{~•~} PAST {~•~}
It is a spring day and, despite school ending hours ago, you find yourself in the After-School Program.
Just a day earlier you had argued with your parents that, because you were nine, you were mature enough to walk home. Unfortunately, they had simply laughed at your idea and sent you off to bed.
A vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting lay on the table behind you. A candy cane topped with a blob of orange and yellow substitutes for your birthday candle.
Children occupied the corners of the room, moving between play and the packing of their backpacks. A select few children occupy the beanbags in the middle of the room. They are silent, seemingly content to play with whatever the adults trusted them with.
[{~}] Welcome to 'Project Genesis'! Feel free to respond in any manner or ask questions if you are confused. Remember, you chose to be a Beta. You have not yet gained your abilities and it will not be some over night thing. We need to explore the past first. [{~}] |

The cupcake has a bitter taste and small clumps of what you assume to be PlayDo have fallen into the frosting. Never the less, it was a sweet gesture. The adults of this program were kind and would hate for your birthday to be a total mess.
A nearby adult is muttering harsh words under their breath, obviously irritated, as they deal with two children. The children are two years younger than yourself and seem incapable of verbal communication. The boy is making jittery and anxious motions similar to sign language while the girl motions for a pad of paper. |

| Vince didn't bother heading over, the two children seemed weird. He looked around for things to do. |

(First person to react like that-)
A TV is set up in the corner of the room and a few teenager helpers are setting up a video game.
Other children are looking to start a game of hide-and-seek.
The adults may consider starting a sports game. |

[well i figured at like 5-6ish you wouldnt bother thinking about it, but by 9-10 you have more opinion of people and things]
Vince decided to join in on hide and seek, first trying to see if he could find any of his friends. |

(I know- It is just interesting though.) (It is really annoying that I can not explain why without sounding like a horrible person. >.< )
The majority of your friends are not here. Their parents remember to pick them up after school-
However, there are a few people you talk to semi-regularly.
Bryce ---> Bryce is a scrawny kid with an overly young appearance. He claims to have 'connections' and has some obsessive traits. He is pleasant company-
Abracham ---> Abracham is a vague acquaintance of yours. He is generally quiet and he seems to have few traits that you could consider pleasant. He does, however, share similar interest.
Fallyn ---> She is the younger sister of Abracham and semi-decent company. She seems to be a bit ditzy and is often in her own world. She does bring a unique aspect to games.

| (Uhm- I pulled them off of a list I have when I need to name some random person. I chose the most normal names xd Other than Bryce. It's normalish. And Abracham is the Irish form of Abraham I think. And I just picked some random Irish name for the sister.) |

Bryce could be found at the TV. He stood with his hands on his hips and had a look of irritation on his face as he attempted to direct the teenagers in the game set-up.
He seemed to ignore you at first, sparing you only a soft hello and a brief explanation. "Problems with the associates." He smirked at his word choice before going back to ordering the teens around. |

Vince looked at the teens, then at Bryce and furrowed his brow. He shrugged and left.
Bryce was best left alone while he was in that mood. |

You could talk to Abracham or Fallyn. They do not seem to be busy.
(I still need to do updates on the kids you ignored- ugh-)
The girl crossed her arms in obvious annoyance, spitting out a string of long words. The message implied that her brother was a technical mute and, as such, he deserved proper attention. It became a problem when most of the attendants could not understand sign language, his primary means of communication. The girl quickly quieted down, apologizing for her out burst before glaring at her brother. She muttered that they were his words, not her own. |

| Vince glared slightly in their direction, what an annoying couple of children, he ignored the two, and decided to go talk to Abracham. |

(My brother keeps yelling out fluffy fluffy unicorn ._.)
Abracham is organizing his back pack, carefully placing a collection of toys at the bottom. You were positive that they were not his own as they seemed eerily similar to the 'lost' toys of this room. He gave you an acknowledging nod and looked you in the eye as if saying 'Speak'. |

[Abra]
Abracham gave a small shrug and held up a small toy. It was an action figure resembling some ancient super hero- Or perhaps it was a villain. "Birthday present-" He said impatiently, waiting for you to take it. |

Abracham gave a small shrug and a 'duh' look. "Most people are gone-" There was an awkward pause as Abracham held back an insult. "-Friend."
He was always 'nicer' on birthdays. |

[is vince big or small for his age, im currently assuming big because of his adult size, but you never know]
Vince glared for half a second before letting it slide, "Well I'll see you around.."
He didn't really like the other kids who were here after-school.. Bryce was okay usually but most of the others were just plain weird. Vince decided it best to go sit and wait to be picked up. |

(Big I guess) (weird kids) (oops) (you know- this will be funny later- but you don't know why-) (I love this)
You could ask to call your parents, the chances of then remembering that you are still here are slim. |
