#1 SFA is on a 28 game winning streak #2 SFA boasts one of the best if not the best defense in the nation #3 SFA scores more PPG than VCU by alot.
On paper SFA is the better team if you ignore the seeding. |

The Lumberjacks have won 28 straight games under first-year head coach Brad Underwood. They hit the offensive glass hard, recovering 38.5 percent of their misses, and force a lot of turnovers—opponents give it away on 24.4 percent of their possessions. They also have Jacob Parker who is an efficient scorer, averaging 14.2 points on only 9.2 field-goal attempts per game.
VCU will also be without Melvin Johnson, and UCLA head coach Steve Alford hasn't made it to the Sweet Sixteen since 1999. UCLA also sometimes tends to lose games by a big margin against smaller teams, such as their regular season finale against Washington State in which they lost by 18. |
