| Go look at the front page of games. How many use misleading titles, minecraft thumbnails, images from a different game, or are copied? Almost all of them. These people are the ones getting rich for doing almost nothing. DevEx is flawed because people with little to no building/scripting skill are getting rich for taking someone elses work, or tricking 10 year olds. DevEx is promoting this kind of behavior. What I am suggesting is a verification system. When someone wants to exchange robux for cash, it sends a notice to the mods. The mods can check the persons places, making sure that they are worth the money. I am guessing a very small percentage of people are exchanging robux from limiteds or other sources. A minecraft title and thumbnail for a Roblox game that is trash doesn't deserve real money. Then again, Roblox is using minecraft as an advertisement. You can see their ads on Addicting Games. Anyway, Roblox is getting ruined by these type of games. Fix it por favor. |

| I'm pretty sure there is a verification system in place, though I do not know what it verifies. |

| DevEx actually requires us to go through paperwork and other legal things. People have to pay taxes on this kind of thing. It's not a simple process. |

@MrDoom Thanks for the reply, but paperwork and legal things wouldn't really prevent people from using DevEx from copied games. |

@Jack, I believe the main point that Doom is trying to put across is that those cashing out are scrutinized. Considering that there's very few cashing out (I believe?) it wouldn't surprise me if they were already looking into people, to some degree, as they wouldn't blindly throw money out.

In christmas 2013, only 260 people got the Muneris Aureus DevEx gift, Datastore being one of them. That gift was awarded to people who used DevEx.
260 people? VERY low chance that those scammers are profiting. |

@Espithel, Well, the majority of those were people who bought it (the gift box), me included. I'd say those actively using DevEx is still likely under 100 though. |

Jack, we are talking about real money for crying out loud do you think ROBLOX would just go and let people take virtual currency and make MONEY, actual MONEY, off of it? No! They moderate the system and everything, no need to be so worried about DevEx. It is there problem, they made the decision of DevEx. They know what they are doing. |

@Buck It is Roblox, so yeah. They tick off the community. Like ODing for example: They say they are against it, but they keep making clothing that is only going to be used by ODers. All the Sk8r hats for example. Their updates break the fun games. The community probably doesn't know as much as what is behind the updates as the Roblox staff does, but come on. They do dumb things often. I really wish Roblox would start banning the bad front page games, and start announcing what each update it doing, besides breaking games. I am sure at least someone who uses copied games has used DevEx. You can do the math, those players are getting millions of robux in a matter of weeks. Not exactly a great community, and Roblox won't fix it. |

@Jack, So long as the place wasn't illegitimately earnt, there's really not much wrong with that in my opinion - it just shows they can market.
They don't do "dumb things" often. I take it you're currently venting your anger on the fix for Hopperbins, which broke ones which were using a server-side script to get the mouse (when they shouldn't of been doing). Anything ROBLOX does, that results in something you or someone else created breaking, is usually done to fix an exploit. Would you rather lose your game to someone else? Would you rather allow servers to be ruined by exploiters?

| Go look at the front page though. I have been playing Roblox since late 08 and the games back then were a whole lot of fun. Now you have to spend time looking for them, because the front page is geared towards 10 year olds. |

The front page hasn't actually changed quality between 2008 and 2014.
In 2008, those were the best games you could make. Now, you can make far better.
That's the only difference. |
