when i was in clans, "trainings" were always events held usually every day where 20-30 people would come and it'd be a sword fight tournament (sometimes it'd be a practice raid)
do you think "trainings" are effective? do you think they serve their namesake and actually teach members how to function properly?
my opinion is that "trainings" were never really training at all. it was basically a free for all with a high rank "monitoring" (usually just participating and not caring what's going on) and were normally ineffective
i guess the only real purpose of them sometimes is for 1st and 2nd rankers to earn free promotions.

ya i was never a fan of sword fight tournaments either honestly
