We were given four extra snow days by the governor of Ohio because of a harsh winter, which caused our school to use seven calamity days (we are permitted to use five without penalty per school year). Today I heard from a friend that the superintendent of the school said on the local news that he is going to DENY the invitation of those extra days, which would have gotten us back to ending school on May 30th (normal time) and two extra snow days, in which we will most likely not have to use. Instead, he wants us to go either the extra two days, or have extended school days.
Our school district is AMAZING!

| It's late in the year, won't exams already be done? If you have exams? |

Well...the superintendent said that he was leaning to LONGER days, instead of MORE days (I was told).
I don't know why but an eight-hour day would just be gut-wrenching when you are used to seven. Even then, that would last for three weeks...to make up for 14 hours, we would need to go 14 days with an extra hour. At least two whole weeks.
