for some reason I really like the harmonic minor and having the raised 7th be a blue note ... pretty interesting stuff, especially the I augmented (add 9) chord

Yeah, that's called F major 7 What tonic chord? I'm assuming C because that's what most people play in. |

| What I'm getting at is that all [] major 7 chords sound the same if they have the same tonic chord (what key the song is in), because the way chords sound different from each other is the intervals away they are played. That's why when a song is transcribed to a different key it will still sound the same. |
