| It isn't a big deal. It's as minor as having "God" in the pledge of Allegiance, which by the way you can't be forced to recite. |

| Yeah there are agnostics and atheists in my class who skip that part or don't even recite the pledge at all. I don't recite the pledge but it's not for that reason. |

| Religion is the basis of all fair and good things in the world, removing it would be basically saying America is organized anarchy. |

"Religion is the basis of all fair and good things in the world" Hmmm, I should swear most wars in human history are caused by religion.

| Religion says we shouldn't do things like steal, the problem with having different religions is they have different things involving land, so religious wars are actually land disputes. |

Religious wars are not always land disputes, they're often wars sparked by radicals of one religion for the sole reason of there being safe havens of people with differing religions than them.
Anyways, about 30% of the U.S. are secular. It's time to update America's motto. |

"Hmmm, I should swear most wars in human history are caused by religion."
Vietnam War
World War 1 and 2
War of 1812
Rhodesian Bush War
American Revolution
American Civil War
British-Zulu War
Cuban Revolution
None of those wars had anything to do with religion

Israelite conquest of Canaan Israel-Palestine War Islamic expansion The Crusades The Thirty Year's War The French Revolution The Taiping Rebellion Lord's Resistance Army Lebanese Civil War Algerian War of Independence and Civil War Iranian Revolution
There are other factors in nearly all of these wars, but all of these wars had religious dichotomy playing a role in the conflict. |

"it's tradition m8"
>every argument for a conservative opinion ever
Well anyway, "In God We Trust" is an inaccurate motto whether you like it or not, because it implies all of America trusts in God. But only roughly 80% of Americans trust in God, so it's wrong. That number is decreasing with the younger people as well, imagine a future America that's more secular, I think they'd want to get rid of it. Also note that "In God We Trust" was added during the Cold War because Americans were scared of the godless commies. |

Indeed. You should pick something a bit more snazzy. Like...
A Mari Usque Ad Mare. Using Latin makes everything tens times better. |
