I'll try my best.

Communism:
An ideology advocating the elimination of class, borders, government, private property, wage "slavery," and money. Many states in the 20th century used communism as their guiding ideology, but there is debate on whether they can be accurately described as communist or not. An example would be Obama. :)

Socialism:
An ideology advocating common/public/social ownership of the means of production and distribution. Sometimes used to refer to wealth redistribution, leading to many saying Obama qualifies as socialist. An example would be the USSR or Socialist Yugoslavia.

Nationalism: An ideology advocating that the interests of the nation and its people come before those who are not members of the nation. I don't know much about it, sorry. Nationalism can be political or economic, an example of economic nationalism would be protectionism.

Totalitarianism: When the state and government hold complete power over the personal and public lives of its citizens. An example would be Oceania, depicted in George Orwell's 1984.

Libertarian: In the American sense, refers to those who advocate free markets, limited government, and personal responsibility. Not all libertarians have the exact same views; they range from anarcho-capitalists to minarchists. An example would be Milton Friedman.

Right-wing: Depends on the country, really. If we use the word "conservative" to define right wing, a conservative usually advocates for the status quo. (not sure)

Left wing: Depends on the country, again. If we use the word "liberal" to define left wing, a liberal usually advocates for change in the current system. (not sure)

Communism: A one-party rules over the country and the government owns everything.

Socialism: The government owns everything.

Nationalism: Not too sure, but I think it's where your country is superior to others.

Totalitarianism: Government owns literally everything in their country and controls personal lives.

Communism: A left-wing society which everyone shares the wealth

Socialism: Not so sure about the differences between Communism and Socialism,
so use my Communist definition

Nationalism: Having pride in your country.

Totalitarianism: Media and Your personal life are controlled by the government.

Libertarian: All I know is, its an antonym of Authotarinism

Right-wing: A traditional person.

Left wing: A person that wants to move foward

Thank you Midmyst.

Could you explain why people hate on Socialism and Communism so much then? It doesn't seem that bad...

Great question, bmi. The reason people dislike communism is that whenever it has been attempted, it has resulted in socialism. Socialism is extremely varied in its sub-ideologies. There is market socialism, democratic socialism, state socialism, etc. The most common form of socialism is state socialism, which uses a planned economy. There, property is owned by the state.

While state socialism isn't inherently totalitarian, nearly all state socialist societies have been such. Obviously totalitarian societies are something we want to avoid. I shouldn't have to explain why.

Also, the government is not very efficient at running things, most of the time. Private companies are much more efficient and more responsive to supply and demand. Part of the reason state socialism failed is that it's very hard for them to plan out the economy from the top down. What state socialism uses is called a planned economy, where decisions are planned. It can be centralized (top down) or decentralized (bottom up) but in practice it is almost always centralized. This is bad for the economy.

Conversely, capitalism has been responsible for a lot of the technological innovation, increase in the standard of living, and decrease in poverty in the developed world. This is why many people like capitalism; it brings change and new ideas. Conversely, socialist societies often stagnate, as observed with the USSR in the 70s up until when it collapsed in 1991.

There are many other criticisms of socialism but I won't go into them here.

Communism: A group of far-left ideologies.

Socialism: A less narrow group of left wing ideologies.

Nationalism: An ideology centralized on the idea of national pride. Ranges from moderate patriotism, which is a belief that embraces cultural and national pride to ultranationalism, which is a belief based on the idea that one nationality is superior over another.

Totalitarianism: A goverment where an individual or a small group of people have unlimited power over their country.

Libertarian(ism): A belief in decentralisation of the goverment, for example free markets, smaller goverment, more personal freedoms, more power to smaller institutions etc.

Right-wing: The preference of economical freedoms over economical equality.

Left wing: The preference of economical equality over economic freedoms.

Communism: A state where there is no competition.

Socialism: A state where production, distribution, and pretty much all economic affairs are controlled under one massive umbrella.

Nationalism: Very patriotic beliefs, I guess?

Totalitarianism:A state where government is entirely responsible for the welfare of the nation.

Libertarian: Tends to want to keep more freedom to people, less choices made by government.

Right-wing: Tries to keep tradition in tact for the fear of failure.

Left wing: Usually progressive in nature, continually striving for new ways to make the state in a better position. Sometimes fails miserably.
